The food is good, but i really want to suggest that the employees please tell the customers when they are going to be charged more for something or ask them if that is okay before actually making it to the cash register. I didn't know that adding protein to my burrito was going to make it cost more, plus I had no idea that the cauliflower rice or the avocado were going to cost me an extra $1.50 each. I really wish the person making the burrito would at least say "its going to cost extra is that okay?" so that at least I wouldn't be shocked when the six dollar something burrito i had originally wanted ends up costing me over $10. Also I did not like the way they handled giving me a sample. When he said there were samples I expected them to put it in a small cup (like the ones you get the salsa in) but instead he gives me a fork with rice and just hands it to me. Even a spoon would have been more preferable especially for something that can slip through the fork like rice. And then they didn't have a trash can for me to put the sample fork anywhere near the line or register. So when I finally get to the cash register I momentarily leave to go to the nearest trash can by the drink machine. I come back to find out that the $6ish burrito is $10.76. I tell him that he never told me they were charging me extra for things. Plus he never even asked me if I wanted a receipt. So I had to ask for one myself after he closed out my transaction. It just seems to me like better customer service training is needed. I have been to other similar type restaurants and servers have communicated with me that adding this or that to my order will make my price go up, and they usually have places to put in your empty...
Read moreI've frequented this place several times since they've opened. I don't know why some are complaining. The food is delicious! The service is great, you just need to know how to talk to people and not come with a sense of entitlement. I come with a great attitude and am always served with a smile and a willingness to help when I need help figuring out what I want. The staff are younger, so I imagine any complaints is due to age-ism or genuine inability to strike up a conversation with them. As far as the food goes, I absolutely love it! I love the choices of having different flavored tortillas, all the meats, even a choice between white or dark chicken meat, the steak is so moist and delicious, even the vegetarian options are really good. The salsa is some of the best salsa/hot sauce I've ever had and always have them prepare me an extra cup to take home with me. I've told them numerous times, I would happily buy a jar of that salsa/hot sauce if they ever would start packaging and selling it. It's very hot and makes me sweat every time, but I love spicy food, so be careful if you have a sensitive tongue. The rest of the food is not spicy, but very flavorful. Price isn't too bad either, a little expensive when you get the bigger size burrito, but the Freebird or Hybrid size fill me up plenty. I was actually on here checking what time they close today and saw a couple negative reviews, so I had to chime in and set the record straight. Hopefully it will help those who want to give this Freebirds a try. I'll end this here because I need to get to Freebirds before they...
Read moreAwful service by Manager Alex - did not make my order as requested (covered bowl in jalapeños! + no corn) and then when I tried to return my bowl, I couldn't get a refund??! Not coming back.
Last night, I ordered a Quesabirria Banger Burrito but in a bowl (image of menu item attached below). It's advertised on their menu and I've done this 5-6 times before no problem (I eat here sometimes as its close to where I stay)
I was with my gf so once I told Alex what I wanted, I went ahead with her near the register. Then we get home and my bowl is caked in jelepenos and its missing corn.
This is the crazy part... I go back and I'm told theres nothing they can do since I was there and "watched them make the burrito" Like what!? i was waiting by the register for Alex (THE STORE MANAGER) to put the bowl together. Can't believe that's actually how it works, but sure take my $20
You advertised a product, I ordered the product. Then you give me something else and say its my fault because I can see you make the burrito? That's no way to do business.
The fact that when I came back and the guy working the front tried to remake my bowl and did it wrong as well shows that no one has any idea what they're doing. The fact you can't make me whole again after wasting my time and taking my money is what is really...
