This Kroger used to be good and a decent place back in 2018-19. Over the past few months, I wonder how big the shoplifting and theft issue has risen (and why!) to the point that on my latest visit, I had to walk through turnstiles, a bazillion cameras recording my every movement, and people watching me like a hawk when shopping for.... GROCERIES! The worst of all is when they reduced the cashier checkout stations to add self checkouts for "ease" and reduced headcount, but now they spend so much more in headcount and tech to police customers who are otherwise not maliciously inclined. The self checkout now prompts an employee to come and verify every single time there is something the system thinks is "fishy" including loose produce. Self checkout took me 3x longer due to all of the approvals I needed from the employee to purchase my overpriced groceries. It has become a ridiculously demeaning experience for normal customers to shop here, so as a 7 year regular to this store I will never be returning again. Hope the management continues to add more policing and locks down all of the aisles (yet to happen).

What I like: Easy access via the frontage road or the back side off Windhaven. Plenty of parking spaces. The signage is good for what is on sale. What is not my favorite: Sometimes the produce section is overblown with pests. I mean fruit flies in clouds so thick you have to swat them from your face. You do need to stay aware of sale prices and ensure that they are valid and honored. Sometimes if you dont buy the required amount, the sale price is a no go. So read tags and labels. I also wish they had more humans at the checkout. I miss the interaction with fellow people. Otherwise, it is a pretty good store. Pay attention to food expiry dates, and take your time if you can. There's plenty to see, and clearance items can be a good deal.

Unfortunately at this Kroger the meat department does not believe in customer service. Two other groups of customers and I both had to wait and then go have someone page prior to an employee showing up. I requested six brand new steaks cut due to the fact of the ones on the shelf being smaller and less appealing. I was told they are only allowed to put two per package at the current sale price. I even asked if I could just have a couple of package put together and I was still told that it can only be two steaks per package. I believe this is highly inaccurate. Tom Thumb employees have no issues with cutting new steaks for customers and fulfilling a customer's custom request.

Kroger is my go-to grocery store. Ever since they expanded to have Kroger Marketplace I've liked it that much more. HOWEVER- This Kroger has continously been a let down. This is what happened to me on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve I went to Kroger Marketplace because it said online they were open til 9:00pm. I made it up there at exactly 8:45 pm. As I was walking up to the door an employee was shutting it for anyone trying to come inside. He said "We are closed." I responded, "It's only 8:45, yall close at 9:00 Please, I only need one item ." He said, "By the time I get everyone inside to check out and get out of the store it will be 9:00" I responded, "Well that's not fair, please I need to get something for Christmas, it's important" He said, "No, have a good day" I went and sat in my car and got my phone as I watched him open the doors to let people out and then quickly shut the doors in peoples' face that were trying to come inside. It was so sad. So I decided to take a picture of him and when he realized this he tried to hide his face from me. I walked back up there and asked him, "Whats your name?" He said, "Why? They know who i am, they know who i am. You should have gotten here sooner." I said, "what does that have to do with what your name is? I can't believe you are treating so many people like this when it's Christmas." He said, "they know who i am." And tried covering his name tag up so I couldn't see. I caught a glimpse of his name tag anyway.. I said, "okay AJ we'll I'm not just going to let this slide. You shouldn't treat people like this." His tone of voice was horrible and degrading. He was rude and disrespectful.

Every job I've interviewed at has always asked me what I would do if it was a few minutes before closing and a customer drives up. Do I turn off the lights and lock the door? Do I let them in and rush them to get them out of the store? Or do i let them in and help them find what they are looking for?

Never have i been treated like I did last night. I mean it was 8:45! That's 15 min to get the one item i needed to complete my Christmas, and he was too worried about getting all the customers inside out so he could go home. I mean, he chose to work on Christmas Eve. I'm so disappointed. Kroger was my go to store. But after that experience I'm reconsidering. I have a photo of the guy. But his name was AJ.

I sent Customer Service an email. So they gave me $10 credit for make up for my experience. I don't know how to...

I have shopped a few other Kroger's, but this one is the very best.mainly because if the AMAXING OLIVE BAR! Only problem is I was informed by management that their AWESOME OLIVE BAR may be "going away." I surely hope not because Walmart has everything else I need but most of the time I go ahead and purchase other items from Kroger when going for the Olive Bar. I can go anywhere and get prepackaged olives ect... but to buy from a FRESH Sald bar and FRESH Olive Bar is priceless! I hope this isn't happening because I have no reason to bypass one other other Kroger and a Walmart from Frisco, just to shop at this one. And since Walmart is cheaper and has everything else I need, it's likely I will go to Walmart.

I was actually going to reach out to Corperate, and a few others expressed they would also, however, I just want the management to reconsider, i understand it's business, and should maybe pre- test to see if the loss of customers will be greater than expected, I don't know, but I LOVE THE FRESH OLIVE BAR. Also, please please please do SOMETHING about customers feeling all over the pretzels, I reported this months ago and this open bay bar continue to have people grabbing, bending the bread to, I guess, check the softness of the bread then putting it back..not everyone has respect for the next person who may purchase these items, eat them and possibly get sick from their unclean hands. IIhave repeatedly seen them grab different pretzels and put them back after pressing , sniffing the bread....please at least put a sign out for those who don't excersize common sense or sanitary actions to NOT SMELL, SNIFF, BEND, TOUCH, RUB, TASTE , ECT...pretzels it's the only area of self service at this location, that I CONSTANTLY SEE...

Terrible management team. I ran into a situation where I purchased a gift card and accidentally left it at the register. As soon a I walked outside, I realized and turned around. I went back to the register and the monitoring cashier told me to go to customer service as she assumed it was taken. I went to customer service and the counter rep had to call the manager (I did not catch his name, however he had a ponytail and glasses). He walks over with an unpleasant attitude as if I was disrupting his day— I tell him I had just purchased a 100 dollar gift card and left it behind and ask if he can cancel the charge or what I need to do to remedy the solution. He tells me he needs to view the camera to verify—goes to do so and comes back 15 minutes later to tell me that he did see me leave it behind but that there was nothing he could do… I asked if it was possible to cancel the purchase or give me any information on how I can fix the situation and he very rudely just said “I don’t know what to tell you…maybe dispute it with the bank..” so I had to leave the store and try to find a remedy on my own. I’m not sure how he is a manger when he can’t seem to manage a situation or provide guidance to a customer on resolution. I completely understand that it was my fault for leaving the card behind, absolutely take the blame knowing there might not be a positive outcome, however his disregard to help or provide compassion was really off putting for someone in the customer facing industry. I ended up disputing the charge and my bank connected with Kroger for insight and then denied...
