We got to the restaurant at 8:00 pm, we sat down and ordered wine and beer, it took 20 minutes just to get our drinks. We ordered the calamari and our food (steak and pizza and at this point there were only 2 other couples there who had already gotten their food) about 20 minutes later our calamari came, and then our food finally came 55 minutes after we ordered. There was a man there who seemed like the manager and we tried getting his attention multiple times while waiting for our food to ask the status and he never came over and just hung out at the bar the entire time talking to customers sitting at the bar. We tried to cancel our order and were told that we could not and to just wait a second. While the food was ok, it was not worth $180, will not be returning. Overall, it took over an hour and a half to get out food and we were the only people at the restaurant waiting. The manager never came over to talk to us or offer us anything even when we had talked to our waiter about canceling. At the beginning of us getting there, the couple next to us had an issue with their order and the manager and wait staff profusely apologized and was quick to help them out, however, they did not do the...

Boz and and Hari are wildly rude and aggressive. The management should really make some changes to the front of house representatives for this restaurant as there is allot of potential here.

The Results of Poor management really show over the years at this place. The GM of the hotel is clearly neglectful and completely lacks etiquette and respect for the guests experience. This lack of perspective and the generally "better than you" attititude is really exposed and highlighted by the behavior of Boz and Hari and reflects in the quality of service they provide.

Expect to be treated better in the Tacobell drive thru at 4am than at this place at 6pm for dinner service.

Its THAT bad. Expect to be spoken at, not with. Expect that with a restart and with more staff than diners, the Manager will still say "im busy with manager stuff" when you ask for a quick word. Expect that no will offer you a drink or menu even after sitting. You will have to ask your waiter for it.... and than when you bring that up, Expect to be gaslit about not requesting a menu after sitting.

Fine dining at its...

If you find yourself at Laurel inside Hotel Viata, do yourself a favor and grab a seat at the bar, specifically wherever Juliana is!! Hands down one of the best bar experiences I’ve had in Austin.

Let’s start with the espresso martini: 10/10. Smooth, perfectly balanced, and so thoughtfully made! No overly sweet syrupy mess. What really elevated the entire experience was her. Not to mention that pistachio & ricotta cake is to DIE for!

From the moment we sat down, her energy was just… grounding. She’s warm, welcoming, incredibly knowledgeable, and makes you feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. You can tell she loves what she does and it makes all the difference.

We ended up staying longer than planned just because of how good the energy was. If you’re looking for incredible cocktails, stellar service, and someone who makes you feel truly taken care of — she’s the one. I’ll 100% be back and bringing friends with me. Laurel is lucky...

The Laurel Restaurant is meticulously designed/decorated with very comfortable seating and lovely views of the hilltop landscape. The restaurant staff is engaging, friendly and attentive. The menu offers diverse and delicious selections for the vegan as well as the meat lovers ….And there is a robust wine menu. Yum! Thank you, Chef Rodriguez, Sinu, Luis, Jorge, George, JR, Troy and the entire Laurel staff….for several exceptional dining experiences! Your gracious hospitality is sincerely appreciated. Highly recommended!

Atmosphere is very posh and nature-y. It feels like you could be in the Italian wine country. Service - waitress was very friendly and kind. - Sizeable appetizers - burrata needs olive oil, more salt, and black pepper. - Calamari and shrimp could be crispier. also needs a lemon and more salt - Beef tenderloin was medium rare but kind of dry - Chilean Salmon was tasty - The pistachio cake was delicious and not too sweet - The donuts were good as well The pistachio cake was my favorite dish.

It was cold in the restaurant and it’s very nice a hotel bar and restaurant… It’s very quiet and the loudest thing was the bartender talking to the tv.. he was quiet funny and seemed to manage every few people that seem to stagger in .. I would come back but the prices are pretty wild $15 Caesar plus $33 salmon… I highly recommend the Buratta but make sure it comes with the focaccia. It seems like they were trying to charge them separately 11+ $16 when it should just be $16.
