Kerbey Lane Café is an absolute gem, serving up some of the most delicious comfort food with a fresh and flavorful twist. On my recent visit, I was blown away by three standout items: the Matcha Latte, Kerbey Queso, and Blueberry Pancake.
The Matcha Latte was pure perfection. Smooth, rich, and just the right balance of earthy matcha and creamy sweetness, it was both energizing and indulgent. Unlike other matcha drinks that can be overpowering or too sweet, this one was expertly crafted, making every sip a delight.
Next came the legendary Kerbey Queso, and let me just say--it lives up to the hype. Velvety, cheesy goodness with just the right kick, this queso is dangerously addictive. Paired with their perfectly crisp tortilla chips, it's the kind of appetizer you dream about long after you've left the restaurant.
And then, the grand finale: the Blueberry Pancakes. Fluffy, buttery, and bursting with fresh blueberries, these pancakes were an absolute showstopper. They had a perfect golden-brown crust with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, and with a drizzle of syrup, they were nothing short of heavenly.
Beyond the incredible food, the service was outstanding--warm, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. The staff made sure everything was just right, offering great recommendations and making us feel truly welcome.
The ambiance was just as inviting, with a laid-back, cozy vibe that perfectly captures the heart and soul of Austin. Whether you're stopping by for brunch, a late-night snack, or anything in between, Kerbey Lane Café delivers on all fronts. Fantastic food, top-notch service, and a welcoming atmosphere--this place is...
Read more--- UPDATE!!! --- After getting my survey, possibly reading my review, Kerbey Lane reached out to Favor to tell them I was cussing and screaming, which is a clear attempt to get me deactivated in retaliation.
Well, coming here as a Favor Runner wasn't good at all.
First, the website listed a discount that couldn't be selected. I called and was told to drive the whole 15 minutes to come in and place the order. On arrival, however, the hostess directed me to the website, tried to splain to me where the discount was on the online ordering, only to be unable to find it herself.
From the, she gave up, told me that the customer will understand, and to put in the order (online, there in the lobby) and just overcharge the customer, because, as the hostess said to me, "it's not like it's your money."
The customer specifically requested I not cancel solely due to commitments already in place. I was ready to do that. This isn't how you interface with your customers' representatives. This is how you get blacklisted by them. As Kerbey Lane now is for me.
I will accept and cancel Kerbey Lane orders from here on out. The customer will be advised as to why. This is my right as a contractor. All Kerbey Lane Cafes.
Ask Pinthouse Pizza how well this behavior goes down. They learned, they now absolutely rock. Send an email. Learn from your betters.
Or don't,...
Read moreBeing from the east coast, this was my first visit here and I was pleased. Took our family of five and arrived at 1 PM . We had called ahead to get on the wait list as there is often a line during busy times, and we got right in. Pleasant efficient staff got our orders quickly and everything was correct as ordered. Extensive attractive menu for breakfast and lunch indicates I will have to return several times to try the items I would like to sample. I had the double cheeseburger with fries and it was very tasty - wagyu beef, a fresh toasted brioche bun and a special tangy sauce made it a large great lunch. The wife had avocado toast with a nice egg on top - very attractive plating and tasty. My son had a Cobb salad with avocado and his wife had a harvest omelette with tofu and she liked it. Each dish was fresh tasting, attractive and reasonably priced. This particular restaurant has ample seating, disability access, and plenty of parking and is also located in a shopping center where you can batch your other trips with a nice meal. Family friendly and there was a high chair available for our granddaughter....
