9 mo update they need to clear house I had Shamika today she also did not want to look in the fax folder for labs that my doctors office faxed over. She just kept stating they never got them I asked for Shamika to speak on the phone to the doctor office she did but was very rude to the nurse she kept telling her it did not fax the nurse read off fax number and it was the exact # that Shamika repeated to her bc Shamika hear her incorrectly she stated getting an attitude with the nurse Shamika has no credentials at all that why she is in a lab drawing blood not in a office, my nurse went to school she is educated I would highly doubt that she got this wrong. My nurse did show me on her labtop that faxes were sent that day that Shamika said it had not sent. The people here are lazy and don't want to do their job. Maybe Shamika should work some where else she has no patient care.
My doctors office faxed lab orders to this location Jennifer did not want to look thru the fax folder and just told me they did not get them. I called my doctors office and they spoke to Jennifer she was upset I called them and did not want to talk to them. I had to put them on speaker for her to listen this is my health and I try to take good care of myself. I have never had a problem with this location, I've always done my labs here so I do not know what the issue is. If you do not want to be in patient care then find a new job its...
Read moreDO NOT GO WITH SMALL CHILDREN. I did my due diligence and called the lab before going to make sure there was a phlebotomist there who could handle drawing blood from a 3 year old that has a rough time with draws. The phlebotomist on the phone said "we are all good" I informed them that my son kicks and screams and they reassured me. My husband took off work so that he could hold my son securely while they did the draw and we had an additional phlebotomist holding his arm while another collected. My son was completely secured. They dug around in my sons arm to try to find a vein which is not even what is upsetting... They collected the tiniest amount of blood and said "we aren't going to get it." Then with the needle still in his arm the phlebotomist said they had enough. I asked 3x "are you sure you have enough?" with the needle still in, right after they pulled it out and then again before we left the office. To which they said yes each time. My doctor just informed me that they did not have enough blood to perform the test. Which I could have told you considering there was barely anything in the vile. We were in the drawing room for all of 5 minutes so this was not a situation of continuing to try and try. Now I need to traumatize my child again to do another draw for information that was time sensitive and have to have my husband take off work...
Read moreThis location may have the most skilled phlebotomists. I'm what they call a "tough stick", but the staff here are experienced enough to get it done painlessly and efficiently. At other CPL locations, I've had technicians stick me and then poke around trying to find a vein, which is so painful that it sets off nausea and gagging for me. However, I've been coming here regularly over the past year and a half and the in-house phlebotomists consistently do a great job. I'm usually less stressed to get blood drawn at this location.
The manager, I believe her name is Liz, is excellent. Some days, the wait can be long--like today, which was about 40 minutes--but the waiting room was packed and only 2 people were working. I also realized this could be due to the holiday today. Unfortunately, I don't have flexibility with my blood draw schedules since they must be done at specific times on specific days. However, if you must do mornings, I've noticed that Tuesday through Thursday mornings tend to be less crowded than Monday and Friday mornings. I only dropped a star because of the occasionally long...
