On a recent mid-morning visit to Lola Savannah, I found the establishment to be relatively quiet, which allowed for prompt service. However, the overall experience fell short of expectations for a specialty coffee shop, lacking the warmth and quality that elevate a café visit. The barista service was efficient but lacked personal engagement. Despite my greeting, the interaction was limited to a curt “What can I get for you?” This missed opportunity to create a welcoming atmosphere was noticeable, particularly in a less busy setting where personalized service could shine. The latte I ordered was disappointing, offering no discernible flavor profile beyond a diluted, overly foamy texture. Compared to mainstream chains like Starbucks, it failed to stand out in terms of taste or craftsmanship. A notable concern was the pricing structure: the 12 oz and 16 oz drinks contain the same amount of coffee, with the larger size commanding a nearly $1 premium for additional milk. This suggests an upsell strategy, potentially nudging customers toward purchasing an extra shot for a more robust flavor, which could detract from perceived value. As noted by other patrons, the cleanliness of the tables was subpar. Even during a quiet period, the staff did not appear to prioritize wiping down surfaces, which detracted from the overall ambiance. This oversight is surprising given the lack of crowds during my visit. Additionally, parking presented a significant inconvenience. The limited spaces and strict signage for neighboring businesses created a stressful experience, with warnings about potential towing—though it remains unclear whether such measures are legally enforceable. This logistical challenge further diminished the appeal of the visit. TLDR, Lola Savannah offers a serviceable but unremarkable coffee shop experience. While it may suffice for a quick stop, it does not distinguish itself enough to warrant a special trip. For those seeking a more refined coffee experience or a welcoming environment, other local options may better meet...
Read moreI recently visited Lola Savannah with my friend to pick up drinks for a bachelorette party, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We ordered 8 drinks and, as we often do, planned to tip in cash after receiving our order if we felt the service was good. Once the barista noticed we hadn't tipped initially, she mumbled something we couldn't hear. I politely asked, "Do you need something from us?" to which she rudely responded "no" and started slamming items around. While preparing our drinks, she made 6 of them with an unpleasant attitude, even glaring at our friend's 8-year-old daughter, which was completely uncalled for. To make matters worse, she served two other customers who came in after us, prioritizing their drinks over our last two, all while being noticeably warm and friendly with them. When our order was finally complete, I thanked her and wished her a nice day, but she kept her head down and didn't respond. It's disappointing to feel unwelcome in an establishment, especially when we were polite throughout the visit. I hope this is not the standard for Lola Savannah, as the drinks themselves were fine, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. Customers shouldn't leave fearing that the service tampered...
Read moreSo many great reviews about this place so I decided to send my son to pop in and pick up a latte for me. When he asked the staff where the outlet was at to charge his phone while he waited, he was told "go figure it out." Staff needs to be trained on customer service. What ever your policy is, whether you do or dont allow others to use your outlets, it is a coffee place after all where people can sit and work while drinking tasty coffee, there is a way to convey your message respectfully. Will never go there again nor recommend it. It's so sad that due to this kind of staff behavior, owners lose out...
