The food was very good. However at this location they speak very little English. I get the same type of meals at Long John silver's across the United States of America. This one here they couldn't figure it out and they had to put something together that made my total bill be almost $10 more than it normally would be.
I have no idea why. I don't know if they're illiterate about Long John silver's menu or if they can't understand English or they're not capable of basic analysis but I promise the only reason I got to Stars was the food was good and I hadn't eaten in more than 12 hours.
Also another reason for two stars the better part of an hour to go through a drive through and if I hadn't been working at that particular time on a lunch break I could have got the food but I would have no time to eat it.
Also I tried to order a couple of things off the KFC menu and they told me I couldn't do it I can only order from one place or the other which is insane and ridiculous.
I've gone to other locations that have KFC and Long John silver's combo and I have never had trouble ordering one thing from one place and another from the other.
I feel like these people robbed us of $10
It is not the amount it's the principle that if you're in Texas in the United States of America and you don't have employees that communicate in English in an English-speaking state in an English-speaking Nation to the point they cannot conduct their jobs they need not be there.
When I go to Mexico I speak enough Spanish to get what I want or I get an interpreter but I'm not the person selling to the general public either as this location is.
Once we cleared the line of almost an hour we had to go sit in the parking lot to wait for them to bring it to us and I don't want to exaggerate but it was around 20 minutes so I'm pretty sure from the time we arrived to the time we were able to pull out was an hour or a little over.
That's what I call slow foods we could have went to formal dining and been served and eat in that amount of time but for the price they charged we might as well have.
This is a place where I would take clients and other associates of mine and we were looking for a good place to get fish and chicken in the area so this place bombed out they just can't handle a drive-thru and they closed the inside and said no business inside no business inside.
Anyway I would recommend you don't go there and I'm not going to go there and I'm going to encourage my associates to avoid this place unless they got an hour and a half and want to spend it burning fuel in a Drive-Thru which makes a large carbon footprint unnecessarily.
I mean I could have been a third of the way or more to Dallas Texas for time this was done.
I will not take my clients there either.
I think in life if you find that things are not advantageous that's one thing but if a business works in a non-business fashion they need to be called out on it at minimum give them a chance to correct the problem and to atone for the wrong
If this business reaches out to me and offers 'a resolution.... I will be quick to share that. ...However part of the resolution would include some assurances that you wouldn't have to stay in the Drive-Thru for 45 minutes and then go to the parking lot and wait another 15 or 20 and that people could take your order in English and speak to you in English.
I'm certainly not against anybody having a little difficulty speaking English if they just got here from another country be that Germany Israel Yugoslavia Ukraine Mexico Honduras El Salvador Etc but if it's to the point we cannot conduct business in a fair way that's not negotiable.
If this business offers a resolution it must be that you can go through the drive through and get your food within a reasonable amount of time where it doesn't cost you $2 or $10 or $20 more than it should because they made you build a plate and I tried to explain to them they got a sign in the window that had clearly what I wanted and was much much less but they...
Read morewent on Sunday before memorial day .. wanted to get the 26$ fish chicken family meal on the ljs menu .. was told they only had chicken so I got chicken hush puppies fries & and mash potatoes.. was told to pull around while the hush puppies cooked.. told dude at window please give me a lot of ketchup .. he said he'll make sure he did .. well I parked next to another person that was waiting on food. guy comes out with my meal walks to her car gives her the 8pc family meal I ordered.. after he clearly asked if she had the 8pc piece and she said, "Yes, but I'm missing my drinks".. while I sat right there and thought to myself ... uh -oh because I heard him ask did she have the 8 piece the dude goes back inside to get her drinks only to return with my 2 sprites, which I had already gotten at the window. she hands him back my 8 piece and said to tge fella, "Iguess i didnt hear u clearly" ... thats when my uh oh become a reality. so I turn to the guy and said "I had the 8 piece" .. to which he then hands it to me after the lady had already gone through the whole bag as I watched hopelessly right next to her... and drove all the way back to aloft hotels to have dinner with my son only to get everything out of the bag to eat and find no ketchup and 3 tartar sauce packets... food was good but would've been way better with ketchup that I was promised.. and that was my bad night... at a place, only 30 miles away from where I live, on any other day; than that night from where I have an option to go get ljs... I feel like I redo maybe worth the drive now possibly but with ketchup and no...
Read moreI got there about noon. I ordered the platter and I asked for a root beer because I don't like Pepsi products. Of course they were out of root beer. I ordered extra Krispies and was charged for them. When I got my platter the hush puppies that were part of the meal were not on there and the nor were the crispies that I paid extra for. I went back and asked for hush puppies which they gave me. They had about 50 or 60 pre fried so of course the ones they gave me were cold.
I specifically requested hot fresh french fries and told them I did not mind waiting. She went around the counter picked up my tray and brought it straight to me within 60 seconds. Of course the fries were cold so I had to wait extra for hot fries That's when I found out that I wasn't given the crispies that I was charged for nor was I given the cold hush puppies I knew better than to ask for hot hush puppies is that would have been another 15 minutes I generally love Long John silver's and I hate that they're so hard to find now but this location has to be one of the major reasons why. The fish was cold and the greasiest I have ever seen. There was literally congealing grease on the platter within 15 seconds of my getting it It was so bad that there was literally not one edible thing including the Krispies. They were so small that they were about the size of Rice Krispies. I would have had to have eaten them with a spoon like dippin dots. I tried for three or four minutes to find something edible on the plate before I just picked up the whole thing through it in the trash...
