We stop by and eat today as every once in a while on Sundays after church, but today an incident happened when the glass of the food bar fell off and slammed really hard on the floor. My two daughter's were so close to getting hurt, but thank God it didn’t happen, also there was nobody serving in that area at the time and the people that sit near the food stands got so scared with the noise they panicked, my daughters also got scared that they lost their appetite and started crying, so we tried to calmly finish eating. When we finished the food, my husband and I stopped by to talk to the owner about the incident. We asked him if he knows what had happened he said yes they had told me. I explained to him to ensure the glass was put again safely so nobody gets hurt and i told him what happened to my daughters, he answered back that “it was just an accident that he is the one that checks them and fix them and he blamed people that their the ones that loosen them every time they touch the bars and that it isn’t his fault”, I was very disappointed with his answer because we had given the place a second chance because the first time we went there was a cockroach near the food. We like the place but we prefer to stay out of risk for our own safety. This is not a restaurant I will recommend anymore and if you the reader decide to go, please watch out for your self because all the people that were there at the time know what I’m talking about , the glass is the thick type it didn’t get broken, so imagine if it actually hits a person what will be the consequences. God bless you...
Read moreThe food is incredible...for the price. I mean, come on! $15 for two? All you can eat, plus pancakes on demand as well as omelets and eggs how you want them? What's not to like? Oh, they also have aguas frescas on demand too! And they're real aguas frescas, not the powder mix stuff.
Anyway, back to the food. The food is very good and authentic. There's different egg options, potatoes with chorizo, bacon, chilaquiles, so many things to pick from. And it all tastes so good. The coffee is a tiny bit weak but decent for a restaurant.
As for the staff, it's exceptional. They're constantly hustling - and I mean HUSTLING. Out of the various times we've visited I think I've only seen one waitress work slow. Almost all the waitresses and bus boys work very hard. They're all very friendly and attentive, too.
So why only 4 stars? Well, we really enjoy sitting by the window but it seems all the tables along the wall are extremely flimsy and wiggly. So much so that at times, depending on the table we get, we have to be extra careful when sitting or standing, or even if we shift our weight around a little because the table will wiggle all over the place and cause our coffee to spill. I know, I know, it's a greasy spoon, hole-in-the-wall place but if I have to do a slight balancing act because of a very loose table, it degrades my dining experience. Please guys, fix your tables. One of these days, one of these tables is going to come lose and throw all the food all over, not to mention the possible injuries and...
Read moreToday I tried this place for the first time and for the price of 4 people it came out to $47.45, unlimited drinks and fresh aguas of different types, to bad the aguas frescas were already running out by the time we got there but we still managed to drink some. The food was good 👌 but a little bit too spicy, the torillas de harina did seem store bought but the tortillas de maíz were handmade no doubt about it , I've been around to many "Talked About" restaurants but this one packed a punch! I just wonder how breakfast time will taste with this place hopefully to try it again soon! I give it a 3 stars only cause I believe there should be an exceptional amount of aguas frescas leftover still even though it was 2 hours before closing time when we visited. Also another big issue was there were some flies around the food counters especially in the avocado pico de Gallo section. The avocado was already darkish and look very unsanitary to eat, as long as they keep up the watch on that avocado not going bad I believe this place can be a 5 star rate by the time I revisit again :) X'O PS: Fruit Flies Were Around The Fruit As Well, Gotta Make Sure You Keep An Eye...
