I get this restaurant an overall, 3.5 stars out of five. See my rating breakdown below.

The service was good and that match the food. The jalapeƱo poppers came out hot, but it was paired with ranch that felt like it was right out of the bottle. The jalapeƱo poppers tasted like they were from a frozen bag versus freshly made as the jalapeƱos didn’t pop like they would if they were freshly made.

The guacamole was really disappointing based on the four globes of guacamole that came out on the plate. You’ll see the picture. I don’t know if it was freshly made or it came out of a jar a little too smooth for your typical guacamole. The tacos were large. The tortillas were Like store-bought. The meat was flavorful, although a little bit dry.

So it was an average Mexican/ Tex-Mex restaurant restaurant.

The server was friendly and brought out the items promptly. They filled up our cups as needed again an average service.

The parking is a little bit tight due to sharing it with other retail and restaurants.

Note my rating system: 1 Star: I wouldn't recommend 2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards 3 Stars: Average (nothing special) 4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star. 5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan...

It was late, I was hungry, but I didn’t feel like driving down the beltway to get to Los Cucos (about 8 mins away). I searched for places nearby and realized I hadn’t tried Manuel’s Restaurant (3 mins away). It was my first visit to the restaurant. I was greeted and seated upon entry. A waiter approached and took my order. He then placed two small empty bowls and two canisters on the table along with some chips and walked away. I was confused. I thought maybe he had forgotten something and was going to return to complete the task. I looked around, but no one was near to clarify for me. When he didn’t return, I assumed I was to complete the task myself. I poured the two sauces into the bowls. I usually go for the green sauces because it’s normally some sort of cilantro avocado something, but this sauce was very spicy. I’m not sure what it was and I didn’t like it. The red salsa was okay.

I personally was not impressed with my order. I’m simple and tend to sway towards a quesadilla. This shrimp quesadilla arrived quickly, but it was pretty limp and mostly cheese. The shrimp that were inside were pretty firm, nothing like I had tasted before.

I may give this place another try with a different dish, but I like a sure thing. I’ll probably drive the extra 5 minutes for...

This is far the worst mexican food ive ever had.

The chips were okey. But the salsas that came with them were awefull. Ghe red salsa tasted like tomatoe soup no spiciness on them whatsoever and the green one no comments. You can read throu the menu and their lunch special since like a scam everything is like One beef taco for 9$, one flauta or one enchilada... Everything was a single thing...

I ended up ordering a Caldo de res (beef soup) and it was horrible too... Tasted like tomatoe soup... First was red like it was made with tomatoes... The soup only had 2 vegetables... Lile 4 huge pieces of carrots and something really long and annoying to take off... I love to order caldo de res but this wasnt mexican food... Idk who is the chef but you need to reconsider your options...

My boss was dissatisfied too by his meat he had fajitas and they were chewy like gum...

Definitely never coming back to...

We are staying in the area temporarily due to no power at our home for 6 days. We were hungry and it was my boyfriend's birthday so we needed to get out and feel normal for a change. We had seen Manuel's on our way into the neighborhood and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be perfect evening. The wait was not long even with the steady flow of customers and pick up orders. The service was awesome. I think there was one waiter who apologized for delay (which wasn't necessary...he never stopped moving working every table as quickly as he could). The food was quick, delicious, hot and fresh..and did I say DELICIOUS?!!! The portions were plentiful and price was for our meals and 2 to go orders was more than fair. My boyfriend had a great birthday after all. 10/10 recommend Manuel's
