Want to start by saying the store itself was great the personnel was helpful. After ordering a new washer and dryer for our new home that is when it all fell apart. 1st the day before the delivery date (which was already two weeks after the original āready by dateā cause we hadnāt closed on our new home) we get a text (no call no email just a text) stating our delivery that was rescheduled for 6 weeks later. There was link to look at this new schedule but the link didnāt work. 2nd I started reaching out to the numbers and got run around from delivery personnel and doing with out clean close for a month and a half after already paying for a W&D wasnāt setting right and no explanation why. 3rd I decided to reach out to the customer service listed on the app, called the number (it was late) but never got someone to answer that could help (not sure if it was closed but listened to plenty of ringing). Then decided to submit to the chat option and that is when things went from bad to worse. First the associate never introduced he was on the chat so had to ask if it was a person or a robot cause (see attached clip) I couldnāt tell, then was told āyou not allowed to modify your order after it was madeā. That did not sit right when HD is the one that modified the delivery not me. I was then told the only way I could change is if I cancelled my order to reordered items so they could be modified, which really felt like I was being told āget to the back of the line and I help you if I feel like it laterā. As he continued to just blame me and not assist an any way I told him Iāll be headed to Loweās instead he then became very condescending and trying to āhelpā (like almost like a frat boy tries to help a nerd during pledge week!!!) Told him Iām out and now he continues to text me and acting like he wants to help, the most recent text I got he said his name is Alex but I donāt even trust that, but he does have control of the Home Depot account and continues to send texts that are unhelpful, relentless and completely unwanted. I hope HD can get that to stop and someone just talk to me like a human not a number that already paid and has no use to them anymore. But at this point Iām pretty sure that āAlexā made it to where Iām not going to even let them help. Those of you buying supplies you get direct - great store, those that try and get something delivered GOOD LUCK. Went to the store tonight 24 hours after receiving I was informed by the Asst. Manager that Home Depot doesnāt take any appliance back once purchase you need to call a manufacturer and sense it was bought online I couldnātā¦. I then said I did not buy online and my receipt shows an in store purchase⦠I understand you had to order but this was a one on one employee and customer transaction. She then said she could take it back but would cost me a %20 restocking fee!!! I was very upset you can imagine $80.00 I just lost because of made up (I bought online) when I purchase at store so I said fine just give me my money charge me whateverā¦. She then says I canāt never mind would have to call corporate it to be able but that can take up 48 hours my fiancĆ©e then told the asst. manager to go ahead a callā¦. We waited ahead got on phone talking very low to whom ever is on the other line to then about 6 mins later said ok itās done sign here I got you a refundā¦. They took an additional $86.66 for restockingā¦.. which is ridiculous Big red flag is that she open closed register and then receipt said $86.66 (cash) on the refund I didnāt receive any cash She told me this was the restocking fee
I have a Home Depot credit card and business account (spend thousands on) with Home Depot as for them they will be canceled (both) and Loweās will be my store 100% moving forwardā¦.. Asst. Manager - F Customer Service - F Overall never wanted to help meā¦. I spend thousands in Home Depot and you lost an overall customer
Do not recommend Home Depot as a whole and for the ones that no matter what they help your needs I do not recommend this storeā¦
Hope corporate looks into why my receipt said cash on refund when I never received that. And investigates this store as a whole and its managers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIm never going to this Home Depot again Lowes it is. It was raining extremely hard outside on yesterday. I made a purchase through the self check out. It is not uncommon for employees to watch as purchases are made from the aisle as they direct the flow of lines. I only bought cleaning supplies and light bulbs. I bagged all items except three which were too large for HD plastic bags. As soon as I finished I went toward the door I initially entered through as my car was parked there. At the registered I placed items on top of my umbrella. As I fumbled to get my umbrella I was approached by an employee (black woman with braids and a big guy).. She asked was I okay; puzzled but I responded I was okay. She peeked over my basket to ask about items I had in my basket I was confused. I picked up my umbrella she continued to question me. At this point I realized she must have thought I had taken something. I explained it appears she didnt trust me. I insisted she view my receipt as this interrogation in the doorway was not only embarassing but uncomfortable. She briefly looked at the receipt and peaked over the basket but funny she didnt go through the bags but she left me alone immediately. This was weird as she appeared to have so many concerns. She begin talking to the big guy about the door itself.
All of this could have been avoided if she would have initially asked for my receipt in the first place I may have not paid attention to what was happening. This was awkward and unnecessary. Theres cameras at the self check out, throughout the store and the parking lot.
