Mexican Restaurant: La Morenita — Restaurant in Texas

Im here again months later. I gave it another shot and this visit was even worse. I ordered 3 plates, 2 of the same and one different. I got all the the same of the lesser one that I wanted. So basically only one order was correct. She never once came back to replenish out drinks. The manager I guess, tried to play symathics with me about my order, trying to convince me they were not wrong and finally she admitted but not a single apology. Honestly I dont think the owner even reads these reviews.

So disappointed. I love Bistec dish and order it every where I go. This is the worst place for Bistec (and no telling what else) so the meat is cut very small, the use the carne asada meat/cut, they put old pico de gallo in it. The reason I know it's old or pre cut and been sitting there is because pico de Gallo has a particular flavor after some hours. It's like they didn't take the time to cut the right meat, the correct cut, and didn't take the time to cut the vegetables the way it should be. It was the worst Bistec...

We had a HORRIBLE experience at this restaurant. The food and service were, at very best, mediocre. There was a disc jockey type person playing music and screeching into a microphone. The music was so loud that I'm fairly certain that most of my party has at least partial hearing loss. I very politely asked our server if she could ask that the music be turned down slightly. She immediately said that Saturday was Karaoke night and that the music would remain loud. There were only two other tables with occupants when we arrived. Eventually 5 or 6 youngish men came in and sat at the bar. I think they were attempting to watch a ball game on a TV in the bar. I honestly believe the disc jockey fellow may have been the owner and he had a captive audience for his loud music and "singing." We will definitely never return...

I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and leave 3 stars instead of 1 or 2, since the only thing I tried was the horchata. They put WAY too much ice in there, so much to the point where, once I got most of it out, I saw that only half of the cup was actually filled with horchata liquid… cuz the ice was taking up so much of the space. Went back inside and explained it but he misunderstood me and took the rest of the ice out 😂 (that part doesn’t bother me but I just think it’s funny and wanted to mention it) but he filled the rest up with more horchata so it was all good; until I tasted it that is 🥲 idk if it was just an off-day or if they always make it like this, but it was super bland, watered-down and not very much flavored at all :/ Not the worst horchata I’ve ever had, but certainly wouldn’t call it...
