If I could give Rice Xpress more than five stars, I would. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed — the place was spotless, well-lit, and welcoming. You could tell they take pride in not just the food, but the entire experience. The service? Exceptional. Warm smiles, quick responses, and genuine hospitality from start to finish. The staff treated us like regulars, even though it was our first visit. Now let’s talk food — because wow. I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken, and let me tell you… it’s the best I’ve had in years. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with that rich, tangy-sweet sauce that clings to every bite. It didn’t feel greasy or heavy — just bold, balanced flavor. Jenny had the Chicken Fried Rice, and it was loaded with tender chicken, fluffy rice, and just the right amount of seasoning. You know when a dish tastes like it was cooked with care, not just thrown together? This was that. Every bite had intention. We also split a spring roll — crisp, golden, not oily at all — and it came out piping hot, like it had just left the pan. Everything was fresh. Everything was hot. And everything tasted better than we expected — which says a lot because we came in hungry and hopeful. Bottom line: Clean environment. Friendly staff. Phenomenal food. Rice Xpress didn’t just satisfy our hunger — it earned our loyalty. We’ll be back. Again and again.

The staff was extremely friendly but they have some issues to work out (understandable for a newly opened business). There was some confusion with my take-out order. Initially, I was brought out the wrong order. When I received the correct order, it was missing the fried rice. Guy behind the counter got a container of rice out to me quickly. No biggie. Got home to eat and both the chicken egg roll and shrimp egg roll were extremely cold. On top of that, I went to wash it down with a bottle of Coke I took from their refrigerator and it was beyond flat and had a weird taste. Checked the expiration date and discovered that it expired in October (two months ago). Not very happy with this experience. On a positive note, I will say that the sweet and sour chicken and fried rice were hot and tasty. As someone who frequented the Royse City location, I was excited to have our own Rice Xpress here in Princeton. I wish my first experience would have been better. I’ll give them a couple more weeks to get the kinks ironed out and give it another shot.

I recently moved here and wanted to give it a try. I gave it a 3 because 2.5 wasn’t available. The food is edible, I received the food hot, and the people there were very nice. Unfortunately the crab rangoons were undercooked and honestly overpriced (it didn’t seem like any crab meat was in it). We ordered the beef and broccoli and it was hard to chew. The vegetables were definitely al dente more on the undercooked side but the beef was so gamy and hard to eat as if they didn’t marinate it at all. We won’t be going back. It’s really unfortunate because I love Chinese food and had high hopes.

Ordered the chicken lowmein when they delivered it to me I took small bite, went for another bite and noticed a long black hair sticking out of it, I moved it a little and the hair was long like it was fried with the food. When I took it back the lady said oh ok let me get you another one as she gave it back to the cook. I told her no. I think I will try the shrimp fried rice. ( I felt if i didnt order something else they would take out the hair and give it back). The girl behind the counter said it was 1 dollar more. I looked at her and told her that it should have been free there was a hair in my food. The older chinese lady proceeded to say it was 1 dollar more. I said no problem. We should have left as I was already discusted but I was with my 85 yr old mom and grandson and they were hungry. When she brought me my rice I gave her the dollar and she took it she made me feel like I did something wrong. When I looked up the two older Chinese ladies were talking chinese and looking at me. I ate part of my rice and started feeling sick. The cooks in the back kept looking at us. Its clean in the front but who knows what's going on in the back. Scary!!!! I ordered chicken nuggets and French fries for my grandson and they were hard as rock and brown and dry on the inside. The French fries looked like they were twice fried from yesterday. The only thing he could eat was the fortune cookie and ketchup from the packet. I would give this a zero star but it would not let me. Just because it's hot doesn't meen its fresh or clean....they probably drop food on the floor pick it up and re fry it so it's nice and...
