Looking at some of the other reviews, I feel like I was robbed of everything. From greast tasting food and great customer service. I understand we’re all regular human beings therefore, I give everyone a chance but I’d have to say for my first time eating at Spring Creek, it was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever encountered. I’m not writing this review thinking that things are going to change or that they will even care but it’s my hope that someone wanting to visit there will read this and make a better decision than I did and find somewhere better. I walked in and watched several employees stand behind the counter chatting while customers waited at the “to go” counter for assistance. After waiting for about 6/7 minutes, finally someone (a guy, don’t know his name) broke it up and told them to assist the “to go” area. Customer service was terrible. No hair nets, no gloves were worn. And the inside was extremely filthy, from when you walked in the door, all the way to the dining area and the the soda fountain. Regardless of all of this, I was still craving some bbq so I let it go in hopes that the food would make up for it. Not only was my food cold but the taste was soo disgusting it made me feel as if I’d gotten food that was prepared a day or two before. The sausages tasted like nothing more than a hot dog cooked on a grill and the ribs were soo tough and bland that I wouldn’t have fed it to a dog or even a homeless person. Id NEVER return. As high as prices are for everything, treating people with bare minimum customer service and atleast providing them some what decent food should be the bare minimum you give but for me to walk away with a shifty customer service and food experience, all I can say is I hate that I wasted my money here. As a single mom of four children, any money that I spend on myself which is rare, I want to make it count. Going forward, please treat other customers that will come there with the respect and decency you would want someone to treat your family and friends with if they walked in. Second, is anyone tasting the food for quality. Please don’t let bbq sauce be the ONLY reason your meat taste somewhat good. Coming from a person that does not eat bbq sauce I solely rely on the taste of the meat. This was a complete...
Read moreI would like to comment on the team first since the interaction was very positive. Everyone that we interacted with was a very nice and very eager to serve. The food was the complete opposite. My colleauge (and good friend) was visiting and when we had a break for lunch, we ventured over to this location. We both had chicken and although it tasted good, we both did not feel well within a couple of hours. Perhaps the seasoning as I do believe the chicken was fresh. I also had a salad and it was absolutely the most unappetizing salad I have ever tasted. They chopped up cold brisket to mince (basically tiny pieces) and the honey mustard had a taste of something rotten. I took one bite and pushed it aside. When I informed a man behind the counter, he offered me a side and said "we will take care of you" but I paid for an entire salad and was not given anything comparable to replace it nor offered a refund. When they cleared the table, it would have been evident that I had not eaten any of that salad. We definitely will not be back as this was our first experience with this establishment and our impression...
Read moreI've actually been going to Spring Creek barbecue for many years. But mostly at the location in Cyprus, Texas. But the one in richmond has gotten really skimpy on their portion sizes. The last 2 times I've gone. I've been really disappointed with how much food you get on a plate.
When you order a three meat plate the portions are so small it's shocking. Tonight I ordered a two meat plate. I Bet I didn't even get a half pound of meat total....
For a twenty dollar plate of food I expect two thirds of a pound. The third pound of beef in a third pound of sausage.
When you order a three meat plate, you should at least get a quarter pound of sausage, a quarter pound of beef, and at least three or four ribs..
Way too skimpy.
I think you need to start advertising. How much meat you're gonna give on a plate for 20 bucks? So if people complain they can actually weigh it.
Update: 9'ers BBQ just around the corner is WAY better, especially on portion sizes. Compare the pic of a 2 meat in foam to go from Spring Creek to the 2 meat from 9'ers. Giant ribs huge chicken. Last time I got ribs at SC they were the size...
