This is my first time trying Parlor Doughnuts and I was not disappointed! In just 1 week, I visited THREE times!!!
I believe they officially opened on Sunday, December 8th. They seem to be quite popular... When we come in the afternoon there are hardly any donuts in the display.
Shout out to Cassie, and Fares. Both were exceptionally friendly and were able to answer any questions I had.... Which was basically details about each doughnut (haha). During my 2nd and 3rd visits, Fares went above and beyond when placing, packing and handing over our doughnuts.
My first visit, I ordered doughnuts from the display and thought they were a bit old? Dry? I initially didn't understand the "layered doughnut" concept. But we really enjoyed the flavors so we went again. During the 2nd visit, I requested fresh ones and they made them accordingly. I realized they have cronut-like texture and so that's where the layers come in.
We tried different ones:
-Turtle cheesecake -Cookies n cream (ordered 2xs) -French toast -Coconut cream filled -Lemon bar -Minis (raspberry filled, coconut cream filled and cinnamon sugar) -bourbon caramel
My favorite flavors were cookies and cream and turtle cheesecake.
They sell out of certain flavors throughout the day. I imagine they have more foot traffic in the mornings and maybe evenings or closing time. Also, there's plenty of seating areas, but also, a lot of empty space, which seems indicative of leaving room for a long line??! Unless it was just because of the opening? There are also gluten-free and vegan Donuts available.... also dog donuts!
They have a rewards program via app, which I downloaded on my 2nd visit. There was an $5 coupon and a free doughnut coupon available upon downloading the app. There is also a point system, when accumulating a certain number, drinks/food items are available for free. They're also located in in several states, so definitely download the app if you plan on visit any of those States!
There was plenty of parking in front of and around the shop, shared by other businesses.
Would I return? ABSOLUTELY...I already visited 3xs in less...
Read moreShould have taken photos was a mixed bag⊠got a dozen donuts mixed some dog donuts as a treat for our dogs and then decided to get a couple of their breakfast items as pure sweets is something I canât do for a meal. The donuts were truly something special Andy dogs enjoyed their treats but⊠and it really saddened me their high priced breakfast food was stupidly sub par⊠I also ordered their pesto breakfast sandwich and the avocado toast just to see how good this place might be as an after work breakfast stop. At least I have them a shot I suppose. To start the AvacadoToast⊠wasnât even toasted⊠the barely more than a smear of avocado hardly held the seeds the promised tajin was not preset and the boiled egg had to have come out of the fridge because it was barely cut in half and frigid, all told the entire meal was ice cold⊠not sure if the piece of foil they placed it on was for kicks or what but for the price it should at the very least have been toasted⊠total loss on that, but I was hoping maybe just a one off as some of the staff seemed new and was getting direction from other staff. The pesto sandwich was unforgivable⊠the ciabatta was so touch I couldnât bite through it⊠literally but halfway into it and the bread started scratching my gum so couldnât even taste the rest⊠opened it up and the spinach was wilted looking cheese was fresh from the fridge and egg was lukewarm at best. Honestly left me worried about the donuts considering how much I had spent. Had the donuts not saved this place it would be a 1 star review that Id call overly generous. Really sad because wanted to...

This morning, Friday, April 4, 2025, around 7:35 AM, I visited Parlor Doughnuts at 7810 W Grand Parkway S #200, Richmond, TX 77406. Upon entering the empty shop, I was not greeted by the employee, Nick, which felt unwelcoming. As it was my first visit, I informed him that I needed a moment to review the menu. When I ordered a latte and requested 2% milk, Nick curtly informed me that they didnât have it. His tone was dismissive, and when I inquired about alternative milk options, he listed them with evident impatience. This demeanor made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, leading me to leave without making a purchase.I had been genuinely looking forward to trying one of their renowned doughnuts, but after this encounter, I am no longer interested in supporting a business that exhibits such poor customer service. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location and will not...
