Taco de Oro really said “No substitutions, no hydration, no peace.” If you want to swap rice and beans for veggies like any other normal Mexican restaurant? Better pray you get the young guy with the gentle soul or the brown-haired waitress with the accent—because anyone else will look at you like you just asked for a gluten-free enchilada in 1992. Water refills? That’s cute. Hope you like your salsa spicy and your lips chapped, because you’ll be thirstier than a cactus in July. I watched my water glass dry out like a time-lapse of the Mojave Desert. And the check? Oh, sweet summer child. You don’t get the check. You earn it—by surviving a silent, awkward standoff where you try to make eye contact with a server who’s sprinting past you like you owe them money. The food? Pretty good. The trauma? Immaculate. Five stars for chaos. One star for service. May God be with you

It is a small family owned restaurant. The red salsa had a little heat, while the green salsa was mild. The chips and queso were OK, but nothing to write home about. However, the star was the main courses. I got the Enchiladas de Mole Pablano while my wife got the Carne Guisada. The Mole had a nice dark chocolate flavor on the front end, while after a few seconds the spice hit. It was awesome. The Carne Guisada was fork tender and had loads of flavor. Both dishes came with rice and beans. It tasted like everything, even the beans, were homemade. My wife's lemonade was made very well, though we both prefer slightly tarter, it wasn't overly sugary.

Family Owned & Operated. We moved from a different state & they make you feel welcomed + the quality of the ingredients & drinks - *chef's kiss ! * MAY 28 2024 Picture : Still Serving Quality when businesses hv TURNED to survival. We need to Support Small businesses in our community , that hv continuously did & does - their BEST to have Consumer Integrity & Superior Customer Service. I do not know them but this Mother / Father TEAM deserves all the support we have to GIVE. THEY even are OPEN EARLY for Breakfast ! Give them a Try. Calm / Relaxing environment w Great Margarita's 👍

OK, so me and my BFF decided to try this place out for the first time. Very friendly service. However, portion size and taste of food not very palatable bland. And the shock at the end was that I ordered a guacamole small dish with chips turned out to be $8.99. It wasn’t even half an avocado, mostly lettuce, tomatoes and onion with 1 quart of avocado as it seemed not good Business, you can buy a whole avocado at the store for $1.25. And the atmosphere it’s OK but the restaurant was totally empty. When around this hour. It should be packing in for brunch. After our experience with the food, I understand why it was empty. I thought maybe we just beat the crowd, but unfortunately, not so. I normally don’t like to leave bad reviews. No one is perfect. However, if you want to be successful any business, you need to step up the plate and make it. Attractive to the eyes and attractive to the pallet. And the price for the food, not acceptable for the portion size and the flour and corn tortillas you better have some teeth cause they’re very chewy and dry. No offense to the owners, but I must express my experience. This is good criticism so you can improve your services and...

This place is AMAZING!! I'm upset I didn't know about it sooner. Everything is made FRESH when you order it! Everything is HOMEMADE! So, their food is delicious. Especially their homemade tortillas! I had to hold in my emotions while eating because it was just that good!

I also had some horchata and that is homemade as well. Man! It was so smooth and full of flavor. I had to force myself to take my time to eat and drink because I didn't want it to be over. And their homemade fresh salsa!! I got the mild salsa and it complemented by breakfast tacos perfectly!

Last but not least, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. I felt like I was at a family member's house. We talked like we've known each other for a long time and we just met today. It was such a great experience all around.

IF you are in a hurry and want their food, CALL AHEAD. Their food is made FRESH when you order it!! It is worth every penny! If you ain't got time to chill for a moment, look at their online menu and just call it in. You won't be disappointed coming here!

I didn't get a photo cause it was too good that I forgot...

Okay so I originally had it at 5 stars but I have a growing list of issues. They close at 9. On the paper on the door and on Google. It say NINE PM. They stop answering phones AND LOCKED THE DOOR before 8:30pm. I have patience but when the guy looked at me and ignored me half an hour before they were closed. I pointed at the door because it says 9 and my partner is inside. That isn't okay. He continued to ignore me. I don't know what was going on but there were so many people waiting for their food. 30 minutes we waited for some tacos. Not hard. Between the wait, the rude staff choosing not to acknowledge they close at 9, and the guy who looked at me like I was trash drifting by the door and not a patron, tonight was infuriating. CLOSE AT 8:30 IF YOU CANT SEEM TO HANDLE THE 30 EXTRA MINUTES OF BEING OPEN*.

Great food can only be appreciated if service isn't garbage. If this continues, I may stop going altogether because being treated like that isn't worth it. ⭐⭐❌❌❌

Update: no bad experiences in a...
