Taqueria Brisa (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Texas

NEVER COMING AGAIN! BE AWARE! FOOD POISONING! On the night of April 25, 2025, my partner and I visited your food truck and purchased 8 tacos and a large cup of beans. We’ve been here before and never had any problems. After getting home, we shared the food — but just a few hours later, both my partner and I became extremely sick.

We experienced projectile vomiting (specifically the beans) and severe diarrhea. As of today, April 26, 2025, we are still dealing with ongoing stomach issues that have not let up.

Out of concern, on April 25,2025, I decided to call the food truck to inform you of what happened. During the call, I explained everything — including the fact that I am pregnant, which makes this situation even more alarming. I told you I was calling simply to make you aware, so you could check your food products and prevent anyone else from getting sick. I specifically urged you to stop serving the current batch of beans immediately.

Instead of taking the concern seriously, I was met with defensiveness. You told me no one else had called to complain and that people were still buying beans. I explained that new customers wouldn’t immediately realize they were sick — just as it took us hours after eating. I also mentioned that I debated calling because of how sick I was, but I felt it was important to do my due diligence for the safety of others.

At no point during the conversation did I receive an apology — only a quick comment that you would let the cook know.

We arrived super hungry and wanted the taste of good tacos! My papa and I found this taco truck and the young man at the window was so kind to my papa! He told us the tacos were good and flavorful and the Jamaica water was the bomb! He even gave me two free tacos as courtesy! (Wut) I couldn’t believe it… he was so good at customer service !!! 90% of the time, I have amazing dinners. The other 10%, the portion sizes aren't consistent, or the salsa is sour. If I have cash, I generally try to eat here once a week.
