I have been a Waffle House patron for most of my life (40+years). The service and quality of this chain varies depending on location. The Waffle House #2109 Houston, TX 77049 location is by far the worst location to go to. I ordered a hamburger meal while my Dad was dining in so he could bring it home to me. This (see pictures below) is what I received. In all fairness, I did eat the hash browns and they were not the greatest but at least I was able to salvage those from this unattractive meal. I am very disappointed by this experience and if this is where Waffle House is going in response to the many, many other options available in the area, I simply will opt for a more palatable experience every time. As I had mentioned before I have been coming to Waffle House for over 4 decades. Not every visit was a pleasant one but this by far was the worst example I have ever seen. Unacceptable! This place needs to visited by one of Houston's Health inspectors because if they don't care about the food they are serving there I am quite certain that the sanitary conditions are well below the acceptable legal limits set for the restaurant industry. Please look at the photos below or above (not sure where they will be placed.) I am sure you would agree that this is not what you should expect to see brought to your table after ordering a meal from any respectable restaurant. Imagine my disappointment when discovering what I had actually purchased was a burnt, dry and smashed hamburger with a side of hash browns that were chewy and cold. No thank you Waffle House... This was my last visit. It is a shame that all the hard work and dedication that Joe Rodgers and Tom Forkner put into this endeavor has come to this disgusting and revolting end. Thank Goodness that the competition have not sunk to this level of service. I am just amazed because I have applied for employment at Waffle House many many many times (at least 50) and I never received a phone call back. I have 2 computer degrees and am a veteran of the US ARMY. I just figured that they were using a strenuous hiring process but apparently they are just looking for people who don't give a darn about the customer, the company or themselves. Take Pride in everything you do guys, it really makes a big difference..... Thank you for letting me vent some of my frustration about this tragic decline in service and quality from one of America's well known food chains. My condolences Waffle House. Maybe it's time to step down and let the other guys handle the nutritional needs of the masses.

Save your money and time and go somewhere else. Well, unfortunately I cannot leave a good review for this place. I left before even being seated. The young guy in the photo is the clip board holder for names to be seated. I requested seating for 2. There were 3 booths empty on the right side.No one else is waiting to be seated. 10 min later he started to clean one of the tables and moved so slow and took so long that he still wasn't done cleaning just the surface. No offense here but he seemed like a human sloth. We could have been seated at one of the clean tables but we weren't. Not sure what's happening here. This place is small like all waffles houses. It was hot in there. I can't tell you how the food was because I left. Oddly enough, no one was managing the clip board holder and his snail pace work ethic. I would not recommend this waffle house even if the food is good. It was very poor service from the door.

The food is consistently good at this location. The servers do a good job as well. The whole reason I’m writing this review is because the girl in charge of seating people isn’t doing the best job. she gives the impression that she hates her job and just doesn’t want to be there. (which I totally understand, we have all been there at some point in our lives but it’s not our fault as customers) We were next in line and got skipped. With no explanation Instead of cleaning the table properly, she just wiped everything onto the floor leaving a mess to step over I hope she gets better or hopefully they put someone who actually needs a job and will do it thankfully

So I just read every single review and.... 1. If you gave this place anything more than an one star, you either never been there and your friend who "works" there told you go give them five stars etc... Or you work there and created an account so that this establishment could have a higher rating... STOP!!! Now to all the WH fans like me... If you are thinking about eating here. Forget!!!! go to IHOP or Denny's hell even CB. This place makes Waffle House as a company look horrible... 2.there was a dispute between to coworkers and the manager who I find funny because when reading reviews, supposedly is never there... Try's to calm the dispute down but one of the coworkers refused so once again he asserts himself over employee, but the employee keeps going. Finally the manager says stop its the last time, the employee says "what you going to send me home?" Manager says "yes you can go..." Manager goes to the back after employee and they argue for 20mins. (If you can't respect your manager how can you respect me and prepare my food the way I want it?) 3. Waffle Houses everywhere (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, etc.) fumble the ball on cleanliness at times. This is the worse when it comes to cleanliness and sanitation. I thought about calling a friend from the health department. But going to try reach to a friend of mine who is involved in WH chain of command. 4. Umm yeah, and the food I order... I order (allstar) lightly scramble eggs, hash browns capped chopped and smoother. Sausage, and pecan waffles. With an extra order of sausage, hold the toast... My eggs were scramble so hard they were turning brown, hash brown and eggs were extremely under portioned they put toast on my plate, waffle was light badge no where near done with a concentration of pecans in the middle.... I get the same thing at every Waffle House... I have never been so disappointed. Had I never ate at Waffle House until today, I would never go back!!! And I love Waffle House which is pretty sad... 5. I know what you thinking, man they just being hard on them everybody makes mistakes... NO!!! I observed the restaurant and there was not a happy customer in side the build complaints everywhere. If I could give zero stars I would, I...

So today is Sunday one of The Waffle Houses biggest days, I get it. It’s now 11:24am. I had been calling The Waffle House since 9:30am. The phone would ring twice and then a recording would come on to say how busy they are and try again later. I kept trying until I finally said, “Let me just drive up there”. When I get there coincidentally the phone rings and the lady that’s working the register is also answering the phone. She leaves her station to answer the phone, of course I ask for a manger who Nonchalantly said “Sorry but we answer the phone when it rings” I said not possible and he turns and walks back to his command station, barking orders but not at all helping his crew since that were so busy! This place has great sit in service I’m sure however, due to COVID-19 I’m o longer interested in any establishments that offer a dine in experience, even more of the reasons small businesses and large ones like Waffle House really has to consider the people amongst my thought. I’m not dining in anywhere until I’m given an all clear. And on top of that They wanted me to sit and wait for 15 minutes. Of course so that I wasn’t uncomfortable in Texas heat I had to sit in my car for those 15 minutes and run my air condition so that I could have a nice comfortable and safe place to sit while I waited. Worst experience! I will not be back to the Wallisville location period after today. The phone experience and the interaction with the Cashier and more so the Manage on duty has caused me to quickly come to...
