Yummy Crab — Restaurant in Channelview

I went to try this place out and I am so disappointed. I love snow crabs and get them all the time but this place is terrible. Our waitress was nice but my mom, niece and I ordered 2 snow crab clusters each and they were so small and short from a baby crab or something. 2 clusters for $30 was not a bad price. The size of the crabs were the main issue. I could not believe how tiny our crab clusters were…they were the worst quality. They had a weird see-through pale orange color on the legs and the knuckle was dark and dirty looking. The legs were short and super skinny. I didn’t even touch mine, I immediately sent them back. My niece is 7 so we did not want to take her food from her but she even complained about the crabs and the sauce had no flavor. I helped her get the meat out of the legs, which I never have to do… the meat was stuck to the sides of the crab legs so they were cooked poorly as well. The cook came out and gas lit us stating the price was good for 2 clusters….. as if the price were the issue. He offered to bring us more crabs but the sauce wasn’t good either so we declined. I asked for spicy butter sauce but it had no flavor at all. He even mistaked one of the legs for a shrimp. Waited a little bit after opening day to try, and it did not disappoint!! We tried the wings as an appetizer and the lemon pepper & cajun sauces were the bomb! My boyfriend & I tried the fried fish and shrimp, fried rice, and boiled shrimp. The fried rice was probably our favorite thing! It does have a little spice to it but if you’re looking for a good Cajun rice, this is it! The fish and shrimp had some good seasoning to it & very crispy!! Went for the grand opening. The server and manager were very nice and attentive. The restaurant itself is very small and cramped. Price was reasonable. I ordered the seafood boil no head, potatoes and sausage garlic butter spicy level. Potatoes wasn't cooked all the way, though the shrimp were a very good size they were tasteless.
