We did not receive assistance from the sales associates while we were trying to find an at home printer. After we had finally figured out which printer would be the best for what we needed and began to look for extra ink cartridges, a lady walked over and said can I help you find something? It was about 20 minutes before that happened. I told her I wanted to purchase extra ink cartridges but, they did not have any in stock. She looked through the ink cartridges herself and then took the printer from me and walked to the register. She proceeded to look up the ink cartridges online, found them and asked where we wanted them shipped. I told her we were going to wait to get them since they were not in stock now. Then she rang up the printer and told us the amount. I said, "We were not actually ready to check out yet. We need a printer cord from the printer to laptop." She walked away, came back with a cord, said we only have a 6ft cord in stock. I said okay. She rang it up and told us our total. We paid and she basically walked off before we had our items picked up off the counter. Now, she was not rude. However, she made minimal conversation, asked no other questions after she first approached me and basically did the bare minimum possible to assist us. I said a little prayer for her. Whatever she was going through, I hope she is feeling better. She was professional but, something was definitely off. And, if this was normal behavior for her, sales is probably not the best choice of career.
Anyway, this Best Buy has associates. I am not sure they are sales associates. None of them seemed to notice there were customers in the store. There was no actual customer service at this location besides ringing up the purchases and collecting payment. I will never return and my wife and I are warning everyone we know to avoid this location. Story: Went there Saturday 8/31/13 with in-laws so they could purchase a washer and dryer for our new home as a wedding gift. Delivery was promised for the following Tuesday 9/3/13 so my wife takes the day off work to make sure someone would be there to accept delivery. Delivery company and/or Best Buy forgot to put the dryer on the truck (both companies blame the other + no one takes responsibility for the delivery of Best Buys products = zero integrity) so no delivery on the date we were promised and my wife misses work for no reason. Rather than Best Buy offering to fix the issue and get our delivery to us as soon as possible, which is what I'd imagine any reputable business would do, they rescheduled for Thursday at a time when we specifically said we would not be at home. We complained again and they assured us we would get our washer and dryer Friday evening, after 5pm, when we would be home. Delivery company just called and said 1pm on Friday, when we won't be home of course. Now I can't even get a manager on the phone. Summary: I would have understood if someone would have taken responsibility for their series of screw ups and mis-communications, but no one is. No one from Best Buy or the shipping company they contract with seems to have any interest in providing any kind of customer service or rectifying the problem. How am I a rude person? A manger Ron told me āYou wasted 20 minutes of my timeā. I have spent at minimum $10,000 at this store. I have recommended people to this store. All I did was ask questions about price matches I have made and followed instructions from customer service to come to the store and I get treated wrong. Ron, the manager, was rude to me, all he had to do was tell me to contact customer service. He continued to help. He didnāt want to help me from the start. I donāt work at Best Buy I donāt know what to do, he saw a something on the screen and stated āhe never seen that before I donāt know what that isā. He told me he does not know what to do and this is customer service. When that happened to double check after he stated he doesnāt know I wanted to speak to another manager to see if they were aware of what to do. He said āWhy?ā.
