Star Wok Asian Bistro — Restaurant in Channelview

I feel like giving these people one star is being too generous. Save your time, energy, and money and support someone else. My sob story is that I had emergency surgery a couple weeks ago and this place is literally down the street from my house mind you, I’m not supposed to be driving and when i called i knew I’d have to order more food than i needed bc I do understand people have their minimum for what they need to spend for delivery in most places, however in this case I am literally walking distance from their establishment, so for the rudest heathen that answers phones to have told me that “if it’s not $15 nobody’s going to want to go deliver,” I said “I’m literally right here by the restaurant I just can’t walk and my husband isn’t home yet,” she said “what do you want me to do?” I repeated, “I’m literally right here and my total is $14, Is there a manager or someone else I can speak with? Bc it’s just a dollar.” She said “No and hung up.” My ultimate favorite is Bamboo China Cafe on the next street on the other side of the freeway, they don’t deliver and that’s their only downfall. But, go there, they treat you with respect and their food is legit...

Like Tanh Torres said , the delivery driver , (if u get the Asian ones) is rude and gets mad if you don't tip , however there's a $15 minimum amount of cash u have to spend before you get free delivery , so the restaurant is getting their fair share , and even if you don't tip , the Delivery guy shouldn't be rude and curse which he does , heck he wanted to keep my $5 change !,. And asked if I needed change back , I was like really ?. He should give me all my change back and let me make that decision . I don't know if the restaurant owner is aware of this , but I'm posting this review cause he should know what type of employee he has ,. I thought I was the only person he was like that to , but after seeing the reviews I find that other people are being treated the same way by these Asian guys , there's a white delivery boy that is really nice though . This place use to be pretty decent. Loved the curry chicken up until today. Overtime I noticed they constantly kept changing the recipe. It went from a thick orange like sauce to light beige. The very last time I had pink chicken so I gave them the benefit of the doubt this time & Decided to try again. I should have known it wouldn’t go well once I noticed they added huge carrots and potatoes that took away from the quantity of chicken. Food was extremely BLAND! I had to add my personal seasoning. Woke up this evening to mix up the rest for lunch and there was a baby roach floating on top. My little brothers & I ate this last night & they have the nerve to tell me that the owner said no refunds. NEVER AGAIN! & they pretty much MAKE you...
