JD's Grill House — Restaurant in Thatcher

Absolutely terrible. Sign when you walk in saying “sorry we’re slow, have a drink while you wait an hour” and I will give them credit, it took an hour like they said it would. Maybe longer. Traveling pilot stopped in while passing through with another pilot. Waitress (Paylynn maybe?) came and asked for our drinks and if we were ready to order to which we said no we were waiting on one. +1 showed up ten minutes later and another 10 we had to flag our waitress down to order. Friend ordered ribs and I ordered boneless wings and a pizza to go. Waitress comes back ten minutes later saying no ribs so he orders steak medium and asks if it comes out correctly temped or under/over. She says under usually so he stays with medium. ONE. HOUR. LATER. the food comes out. Steak is brown to the core and the to go pizza is on a tray. She says “I rang it in to go but they didn’t read it so, sorry” and I asked okay well can I have a box. Another 15 min later she comes back with a flattened box and says “sorry I didn’t have time to build it” and goes to another table with a second flattened box. Had to ask for drinks multiple times. Really just an all around terrible establishment. Oh also had to ask if we got salads or not to which she goes oh yeah do you want bowls? No we’re gonna eat them off the table. Salads were good but yknow….we made those ourselves in less than an hour. The pizza is good. Probably because I’m not...

Oh my gosh. We haven't eaten here in quite some time and decided to try it again. We got a steak, and bbq chicken. These came with a trip to the salad bar. 😖 Everything was chopped like a 5 year old cut them, but things were old and discolored as well. The dressings literally tasted like water. Water. I think the main ingredient in everything today was water because the bbq sauce on my chicken tasted like water. The A1, like water. Everything was SO BLAND. The steak tasted like a McDonalds plain patty, and the chicken didn't have any sort of a flavor. I ate a banquet bbq meal the day prior and those little frozen cancer sticks had more flavor than this. The french fries (normal fries) tasted like pumpkin? What the hell? We waited for someone to finally pay attention to let us pay and leave, they were busy chatting it up with people at the bar instead. It wasn't busy, but we waited FOREVER. I didn't even want to try and speak with management because we would've been stuck there even longer. My money was completely wasted and I promise I won't ever go back...

Saturday night at 6:30pm is a terrible time to go to JD's apparently. They were busy. We were seated quickly since we didn't decline the last table which happened to be right by the patio door. Received drinks in timely manner. And we ordered soon after. I said " We'll both have Chili dogs with hand cut fries and 2 salad bar". We received our salad bar bowls in a timely manner. I then watched as 3-4 tables received their food before us after coming in after we did. I told my husband they must have had to defrost some weiners. Finally about 7:15pm a single Chilidog with fries was brought to our table by Isabella. When asked if we needed anything else, I replied where's the other chili dog? Oh you wanted two? And no apology. I was not waiting another 45minutes for a Chili dog. It claimed in the menu to be 1/4 all beef, it was not a 1/4 pound weiner underneath the ample toppings. My husband witnessed Isabella laughing about it with co-workers as she accepted our payment. Unusual for us but this time-No tip. Wondering if she'll even figure it out....
