The best part of my wife and mine experience at your grand opening was each of us drinking a Bahama Mama together in our cart in the parking lot from about 2:30 til it finally opened at around 4:00. This is where it got really ridiculous! We're from Mpls,Mn. and have ben to dozens of grand openings up there! So we thought it would be a kick to go to one now and down here even if we didn't know anybody involved with it. Mr. Karimpour is an experienced restaurantuer so he should know how to pull one of these off. I've seen many different ways of having grand openings! This is what they did or should I say didn't do! They just opened up the doors and let everybody pile in all at once! Which would of ben fine because we are all seniors not twenty year olds anymore going to a concert! But ok back to piling in all at once and we were at the front of the pack! Well when we got to the bar areas there were already either people sitting there or their were many assorted different ways seats at the bar were being saved such as with purses hanging on chairs or sitting on the bar in front of tilted chairs, glasses in front of spots etc! So as seniors do instead of as back when you were twenty and would have moved things if nobodies there we did the next best thing and found a decently located high top table and we were OK with that and were getting ourselves all situated and comfortable as were all the people at the tables around us were! When this gal & a guy came by they must of ben the host & hostess but never introduced themselves but started telling everybody they had to actually get up and grab there stuff and leave there table and go back out to the front desk and give your name to be seated! Let me tell you what now that was a fiasco so my wife and I looked at each other in total disbelief as were all of us in the area and everybody was grumbling "Youve Got To Be Kidding"! Also they weren't very nice about the way they went about this! Needless to say my wife and I and plenty of the people around us just kept right on going right out the front doors we came in and left! Next time have all these friends come to your soft openings where you can treat them a little bit more special and let us nobodies have alittle fun at the actual grand opening but don't sneak them in at your grand opening and then take all good spots! When we've ben out in the heat & humidity waiting to come in and enjoy your grand opening and check out your new sports bar & restaurant. Still can't figure out why all of us who found spots couldn't just stay there? It's not like we were jostling around with each other for the spots like back in the day!haha Mr. Karimpour you probably don't care about my input but this was handled very poorly by your management team who youve put in charge of this restaurant. I've owned a few businesses myself and7 have found that the wrong people in the wrong spots can cause unnecessary problems down the road. I can't believe they are this inexperienced to handle it the way it was! Very Poor! Restaurant Ranger(RR) Mr. Karimpour first: Id like to say Thank You for replying to my review! I'd like to respectfully disagree! I have to believe that you've done this plenty of times with your other restaurants here in the Villages. So I will just mention a couple of suggestions! First have your soft openings for friends, workers, and family etc. so when you have your Grand Opening it's for us regular people who will actually be frequenting your new establishment to make it successful or not! Secondly you could have all the tables and chairs numbered and go thru the crowd and hand them out appropriately. Such as if it's just 2 people or 4 people for tables. Do the same for bar chairs until they are gone! Or if you just want to do it the way you did! Remember as I said we are seniors not twenty year olds running in and crashing thru everything. That day we were there it was no problem after we saw the bar chairs were All taken or Reserved we just moved to the tables. But were then unceremoniuously...
Read moreToday: April 25 : it's been awhile. Today we tried the clams and spinach dip. Spinach dip not like last time. Not much cheese, so garlicky I think a garlic plant grew in it. And sooo salty. Clams were ok on top, but underneath, little bitty clam pieces of broken clams. Basically a whole basket full. Goodbye.! Update: 2/11: We had giant pretzel and shrimp Pitaco with margarita. Great service from the waiter and the food was really good. Alot of flavor in the Pitaco. 5 â â â â â today! Update: 1/16/25: I ordered chili nachos and Cajun flatbread. 1 beer, 1 ice tea. 37$ plus tip. Very little chili. They charged for the side of beer cheese, np. But the amount of chips and toppings very smaller than previous. Also, I had ordered the BBQ flatbread with pork instead of burnt ends and previously no problem. Today, I was told they couldn't do that. Even though the chef had tweaked the menu a day before , according to Google, and made a lady a " hamburger salad" which isn't on the menu. Inconsistency is the worst thing a restaurant can be. And I usually overtip. Hardly no one in the place. You think they'd be accommodating.
(November): Our 4th time at this new restaurant and so far so good. Service is always excellent, this time Kaycie(sp?) was our server and very helpful and accommodating. They really make us feel welcome there. Since I'm usually there on Tuesday I always get the Hot Honey grilled shrimp Pitaco with Margarita special, about 15$. It's my favorite. Also we've tried the BBQ Brisket Flatbread, Oysters Rockefeller, Classic Brisket Pitaco, And spinach dip. ( It was gone so fast I didn't get a picture lol). I'm so glad there's a Sports Bar in the area finally. Lots of TV's and games on. Fun atmosphere, music is good. Mix of contemporary and oldies. Only one item I'd not order again: the oysters Rockefeller. Too much crumbs and bacon bits on top. Too dry. I'd give that dish 3.5. Maybe we'll try the fried...
Read moreIt is Wednesday, so I'm back at Tap House Social for another ribeye! (My Doctor said my cholesterol is fine!) Michael Bean cooked my steak to perfection and "Captain" Morgan delivered it with a smile and then poured me a nice glass of Malbec to go with it. Brianna, also tending bar, was very attentive and charismatic. This is just one happy bar! Now, about getting some Montepulciano D'Abbruzo on your wine menu...
Back on 12/21/24 for yet another ribeye. And the hits just keep coming! The consistency of the kitchen is amazing. Perfectly cooked steak, amazing service. Max served like a pro, Casey provided backup and Jonathan saved the day with the Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. Definitively coming back for more. Great Team!
As promised, back on 11/11/24 for another ribeye. The first one on Halloween was Spooktacular! The second one on Veteran's day was even better! I didn't think they could improve, but they did! Casey was my bartender and she was fantastic! Very professional and courteous. I came in near closing time, but they still served me and were in no hurry to send people out. Very nice crew! I will definitively be back!
My first time here on 10/31/24. I sat at the bar, nice ambience. I had the 12oz ribeye. OMG! This was one of the best ribeye's I've had in a long time! Perfectly cooked and the two sides complemented it very well. A nice glass of Malbec sealed the deal. I wish they'd carry Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. I would come by every week if they do! Gary was my bartender--very attentive, polite, professional. I'm definitively coming back for...
