Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

Glad to say we tried this location out again, service and food was on point. 8-12-23 UPDATE: My husband & I tried this location one final time. This service was far worst than the last time. This time we arrived about 8:15pm (I thought if maybe we got there a little earlier we'd have better service and all the staff wouldnt be focused on cleaning the bathrooms and closing the kitchen but this was the case yet again). We waited for about 10 minutes for a server to ask us what we'd like to drink. In that 10 minutes we had made up our minds on having the fried shrimp appetizer and the endless S,S, & breadsticks again and ordered. I was surprised that the first round of S,S, & breadsticks came out quickly in under 10 minutes and the food was delicious! The shrimp app had not came out yet but no big deal it was a busy Friday and I just figured the fryers were backed up. 35 minutes later were had finished our soup salad & 2 breadsticks (they were out of breaksticks, again not a big deal it was a busy Friday night) but after we sat with for another 10 minutes, we hadn't seen our server nor had he checked on us in close to 45 minutes. The dishes stacked on the end of the table, and still no shrimp appetizer, no drink refills, no nothing. I finally asked a different server if he could find our server because it was getting ridiculous. Our server comes out to tell us that "I thought someone took it, but then they actually didn't, but there about to get that going for you" and apologized, he didn't clear the table, he just left the dishes and didn't ask if we'd like a reorder of soup, salad, or breadsticks.. just walked away. 10 minutes goes he comes out to say the shrimp will be out soon, I told him to just take it off our bill because I don't even want it a this point,, he said if we still want it, it would be on him. We said if you'd like to fine but getting it for free was not the point the point is we've been waiting over an hour for 8 peices of fried shrimp.. he apologized again and walked away.. 10 more minutes goes by NOTHING, I then asked another server if I could please speak with a manager. Another 10 minutes goes by no manager, no shrimp app, no drink refills, no reorders, nothing. Finally I see a hostess and demand to speak with a manager. The manager finally comes to the table, he was nice but I told him the service at this location is TERRIBLE and told him what happened, and that the majority of the staff was commenting about closing up the kitchen and getting the bathrooms cleaned so they could go home rather than caring about guest. (This was the situation last time, both bathrooms closed down in the middle of dinner to be cleaned & staff commenting they don't have this or that because they are trying to close the kitchen) unacceptable. The manager took care of our ticket and sent the shrimp appetizer home with us which was nice of him and appreciated, but getting a free meal was not the point. The service at this location on Friday & Saturday...

I am a regular at Olive garden and yesterday (1/19/2020) was the first time visiting Olive garden in the new year. I visited the location of: 3363 SW college Rd. Ocala, Fl 34474. Let me say first that I have never had a bad experience for the 3 years I have been visiting Olive Garden however this particular branch I had never visited before and it was a horrible experience! Secondly I had a beautiful date with me and it was our first time going out to eat with each other, so I expected Olive Garden to give me the experience I was already use to which was high quality service. The location seemed to be visibly busy when we arrived around 5:30pm but we weren’t in a big hurry since we were awaiting a movie to start later around 7:15pm. After waiting for about 20 minutes we were seated and was assigned a waiter. This guy (Ryan) gave us a warm welcome and gave us time to review the menu before ordering. We both ordered alcohol beverages that tasted amazing (which probably was the best part of the dinner) I already knew what I wanted which was the spicy shrimp fritas with extra spicy sauce and that was all I ordered. My date ordered lasagna and some type of lasagna cheese rolls. Maybe 5-10 minutes later he arrived with bread sticks and salad which came with my dates order, I helped her eat some of the salad while waiting on my shrimp. Another 15 minutes passed by and I never received my shrimp so when he came to the table again I asked about the shrimp and he stated that they ran out of shrimp!! So now he noticed I’m starting to get a little agitated and he laughs and tells me he’s just kidding that my order was put in with my dates order and he will check on it. Ok no problem, shortly after her food arrived and while still waiting on shrimp she looked at her food and tried it and stated that it was over-cooked (the cheese rolls). Finally my shrimp comes out and it’s lukewarm and not even 1/4 of the shrimp was tossed in the spicy sauce, the rest of the shrimp was completely untouched with any sauce whatsoever! On top of that the sauce on the side is ranch when I asked for the same sauce it was tossed in to also be on the side for extra sauce! I asked him about the sauce and he apologizes and went back to the kitchen just to bring me back the same ranch sauce. At this point I am completely disappointed and turned off to even eat my food and we explained that to the manager who was very nice about the situation and took off the items I didn’t eat! This experience might have ruined our dinner but did not ruin our night out together! I will continue to support Olive Garden but I will not return back to that...

My experience was absolutely abhorrent. I took my little princess here for her 2nd birthday and what an absolutely disappointment. My server first off never gave us her name. When we asked for an appetizer she rudely said “Can’t you put it in yourself?.” Our appetizer and drinks came out and was ok I chose to ignore her comment and make the best of it. The real icing on the cake was watching her provide better service to the countless other tables around us. When our food finally came out my seafood Alfredo had a pungent Oder to it. I could tell immediately the scallops and shrimp were over cooked. My Alfredo sauce was a pile of pure oiley goop. At this point we were 40 minutes into our dining experience and I had now been 25 minutes with no refill on my drink. Upon service of my entree I politely requested my refill as this was the first time since taking our order that our server had even thought to visit our table. It would be 30 more minutes before I could finally get another server to stop and bring me a refill. 20 more minutes would pass before our original nameless server finally brings me a refill only to see I had gotten someone else to do her job for her. Our server had a clear issue with my complexion and provided sub par service intentionally while giving others around us an exquisite dining experience. To top it all off the food was lacking and I hope in no way related to the same reason our server was so horrible. I’ve usually enjoyed my experience at olive gardens and having recently moved to this area am absolutely disheartened by the experience my family had to endure on our first visit to our local...
