I keep returning here because the owners (Jeffrey & Cynthia) and staff do a great job making the best barbecue in The Woodlands. I always see at least one of them greeting customers everytime I visit. Really says a lot when I see the owners sweeping/mopping the floor. That's what makes them great. Not too proud/good to do something, and it gets result from team members. When I'm done eating, staff gets there quickly to ask if Im done, and promptly removes plates from table. It's little things like this that keeps southern hospitality alive. Plenty of care and effort is put into their product. This particular Dickey's is my favorite location of all for all these reasons.

I will give them 2/5 for the simple fact that the sides weren’t bad….but the price is quite steep for the quality of food. I paid $20 for a very small portion of sliced brisket + $7.50 for 1/4 pound extra. This brisket was comparable to chewing leather, that’s how dry it was. In order to eat it, one needed to douse it in bbq sauce which should never happen in Texas. My to go order with tip was right around $47-48 and was not worth it! Please if you want good quality bbq around the area go to Woodalls or Pappas. Both of them have amazing brisket

VERY SMALL portions if you get delivery!! See attached photos. NOT acceptable! THIS is $46? $55 with delivery. So tired of paying "dine in" prices for tiny portions and scant condiments! These Woodlands restaurants need to stop taking advantage of our need to distance.

I walked in, placed an order for 2 baked potatoes with EVERYTHING on the side. I was told it would be 8 minutes because they were out of baked potatoes. The place was not full or busy so I'm not sure why they were out, but I waited. I ordered a drink and discovered the ice machine was out of ice. So I had to wait for them to fill the ice machine manually. When my order was ready, I saw Cynthia checking the potatoes and noticed they had put the chopped chicken on top of the potatoes. I told her I had specifically ordered EVERYTHING on the side, including the chicken. She advised they would scrape it off. I asked them to remake the potatoes and put EVERYTHING ON THE SIDE, including the chicken. I received several rude comments from the owner, Jeffrey, who began by telling me that he was a 56 year old grown man. Not sure what that had to do with the situation but I explained to him I had specially asked for everything on the side. His response was that they were only human and they make mistakes. I was then told it would take 10 minutes to bake additional potatoes because they had only prepared the 2 I had been waiting on. I advised them I would wait. The owner, Jeffrey started walking away and started saying that he was fed up with the way customers talk to him and the complaints the customers have. At this point I asked for a full refund and advised him I was going to place a complaint about him and his store to the corporate office and online. His response was to sarcastically offer me the phone number and advise me that all complaints come directly to him. I used to enjoy coming to this location but I will never come back again. I would advise to stay away from Jeffrey and his rude service at Dickie's BBQ in...

I was looking forward to trying Dickey's after hearing so much hype, but unfortunately, it fell flat in every way. First, the service was painfully slow, and the place wasn't even that busy. The brisket was dry and flavorless, with none of that juicy, smoky goodness you'd expect from a BBQ place. It tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. I ordered 2 baked potatoes with slicked brisket and received 2 slices of brisket for each whole potato, It was like they took a slice of brisket and cut it into fourths. The sides for the baker were minimal, barely enough for the entire potato. I was asked for my photo i.d. up on pick and the cashier proceeded to write my dob down, why that was done I don't know. I was not greeted when I walked in and the kitchen crew were in the lobby on their phones when I walked in. For the price we paid, I expected way more. Overall, this place is way overrated. There are far better BBQ spots in town, so do yourself a favor and skip this one. I won’t be...

The food was good but the service was horrible and this was just for takeout. I ordered online and tipped $5 prior to picking up my order. I did not have a huge order. I go to pick up the food and the guy is slowly assembling the order while I wait. My expectation for a to-go order is that it’s a quick in and out. Then he goes over every item I ordered and wants me to sign my receipt. But he made me show my ID, which I couldn’t understand considering the amount wasn’t that much. This forces me to go back to my car and grab my wallet. So I sign and did not add any additional tip. He yells out to the guy cutting the meat “zero again”. I get my food and leave. Because of that experience I will never go to this...
