McDonald's — Restaurant in The Woodlands

We haven't been inside this location in years so we were very UNpleasantly surprised because their drive thru service is ok. (not bad but not outstanding either). We were there Friday night 10/18 around 8pm.

The place looks like it's being remodeled, what is completed looks great ! there were only 2 customers that night, our family and 1 other inside but a few of the tables weren't cleaned. Not just crumbs but soda spills that's pretty obvious when you give it a passing glance.

While our food came out promptly, my husband's McRib sandwich was messed up. Wish I had taken a picture before he took it back, but in a nutshell, it looked like someone literally tossed in the bottom bun lopsided, threw in the meat and sauce then there the top bun so when he opened the box, sauce and buns were a pretty sticky mess.

I ordered a big Mac and my first impression was that someone really was in a bad mood or just really hated their job. The cheese was more than halfway out and the lettuce was literally everywhere. I did manage to get a picture of this one. there was lettuce and minimal sauce in the sandwich but looked like there was extra lettuce tossed in there for good measure before the box was closed.

We weren't rude to anybody in particular , I was tired to the bone and our 4yo wasn't even behaving badly so it couldn't be a "special treatment" for customers that have wronged the crew.

Last thing is the bathroom. It's nicely remodeled and all BUT for a place that appeals to children, I was surprised there wasn't a low sink OR a kiddie step stool for the kiddos so they can reach. (some McDonalds and Chick-fil-a have the stepstools).

In all, I would most probably order again but I would probably check my drive thru food before driving away. You know......

Mixed bag. Lately the orders have been wrong a lot, but at least the employees are nice to fix the issue. However, today I ordered a #2B, no onions, mustard, add tomato. I also ordered a double cheeseburger extra pickles. I paid at the window and when I looked down at the receipt, I realized that they charged me for extra cheese and not pickles, so I let them know at the window. No problem. I went to park in slot 1 to wait for my order. When they brought it out I checked my food to see if it was right. Not only did they just toss my pickles in a container on the side, which is just lazy as when I corrected it I didn't have my food yet - but okay. Fine.. however there was only 1 pickle on the burger itself.. alright, whatever. I'll live. I check the other burger because they almost always get it wrong...no tomatoes. No big deal, I'll just go in and get it fixed. The lady I dealt with at the register was nice, it's the woman helping run the drive through though...who is never friendly. But, I always just figure she is busy. When told there was no tomato on the burger, she was like,, "I gave her extra pickles!" so I said, "I wanted tomatoes on this burger." and she said, "It doesn't come with tomatoes." So I said, "I know, thats why i paid for tomatoes." Then she started complaining at the other employees that she thought they told her extra pickles, and I said, "Yea, I paid for that, too." Honestly, the way she said everything was just rude and talking down to me, all she needed to do was look at the ticket connected to the actual burger to see that there were tomatoes paid for. Didn't need to be a big deal, but she needs to work on her customer skills and the back of the house needs to take the time to read...

I'm highly impressed with this particular McDonald's. I'm not a big fan, but I am now and will ONLY go to the McDonald's in Panther Creek The Woodlands. Every employee showed genuine respect, they were happy, working hard, professional and I saw that each staff member has a sense of pride working there. If I could rate higher than a 5, they would receive a 10+ on a 10 scale lol. Oh! I almost forgot! Mind you, this was my 1st encounter at this location....when my son and I opened our sandwich boxes (lil man got a Big Mac with extra Mac sauce and I got the Filet o Fish with extra extra tarter sauce) and saw for the VERY 1ST TIME ever!!!! Our food actually looked pretty darn close as to what you see in their advertisements. The shock of "wow! McDonald's actually has kicked it up several thousand notches in professionalism, great attitude/personality, now presentation! My son and I both were curious to see if it tasted as good as it looked.....guess what?! My mind exploded from shock lol! Best fish sandwich (tasted just like I remember when I ate it as a kid). My son's Big Mac tasted great! Also, our order was perfect!!! Outstanding work ethics at the McDonald's in Panther Creek The Woodlands. Awesome job ladies and...
