One of the worst dining experiences I have had. I made reservations for 10 people for my daughter’s birthday brunch. When I made the reservations, the associate asked me if we were celebrating anything. I told her yes a birthday. And she informed me that they charge $2.48 per slice to serve a cake if one is brought in. That completely blew my mind. I have taken birthday cakes into numerous restaurants and have NEVER been charged to have it served. I’ve ALWAYS sliced it and served it myself. However, we wanted to give this place a try and it was my daughter’s birthday so I was willing to make this exception. Then the restaurant called 2 days prior to the reservation to confirm and informed me at that time that they also had a $24 per person food and beverage minimum since it was a large party. Mind blown once again. I’ve never encountered that at any other restaurant as well. But again, we wanted to give this place a try.
Fast forward to the actual dining experience on New Year’s Day. Our party ended up being 7 adults and one baby so they did not enforce the $24 food and beverage minimum which was much appreciated. However, the service was absolutely terrible. My daughter’s boyfriend had to go up to the counter at least 4 times to ask for items we had already asked for and never received, such as sugar and creamer. And the restaurant was SUPER stingy on sugar and creamer. We were literally given 2 packs of sugar and maybe 2 ounces of creamer for a huge cup of coffee. So we had to repeatedly ask for more sugar. And it also took about 30 minutes for one guest to receive his latte.
My 10 month old great nephew was the baby that joined our party with his mom and dad. He was in a perfectly happy mood, playing with a small rattle and giggling and very well behaved. An employee, actually the owner I believe, came over to the table and handed him some sort of random kid’s toy and snatched the rattle out of his hand. This was completely shocking and inappropriate. I guess she thought he was making too much noise but the music in there was blaring so I don’t think the rattle was distracting at all.
Then we had a couple of issues with our orders and again the owner questioned our validity on what we had ordered and she was extremely rude and short with us.
In summary, unless you enjoy horrible service and rude behavior from restaurant owners, I would 100% NOT recommend this place.

Read moreI have never encountered ruder or more frighteningly unstable behavior from a human being than I did from the owner at Simonas. It’s apparent there are bots or family members on here writing good reviews - smart thinking from the most disrespectful person I’ve ever come across. We had called ahead of time to let the staff know we’d like to reserve tables for a birthday party, and that we were bringing a cake, and we were assured on the phone that all was well. When we arrived, the owner was rude to us off the bat, and it only got worse when it became clear there was a miscommunication between the owner and her staff. The owner was livid that we hadn’t rented the space out for the birthday party, which we didn’t know we were supposed to do because the staff on the phone never informed us. At this point, she pulled us aside and began to berate the us for serving cake and not letting her know it was a birthday party, which of course, we had done. Instead of communicating clearly, she became belligerent and threw US out of the restaurant despite us having done nothing wrong. And in case you’re still thinking about going, the food was mediocre at best. Save your money and your taste buds - there are better places right next door. Honestly, the food was the least glaring problem with Simona’s. I’ve never been spoken to or treated so poorly before, and all over a birthday party. One star...
Read moreI’ve lived in the Woodlands for over 20 years and this is an awesome addition to the places to eat. Not very big but trust it makes an IMPACT. It’s in a perfect location if you just finished a walk at the waterway and want something different. That’s when I went.
Here we go!! The menu for breakfast is coffee and avocado toast, omelettes and for sweetness French toast. I loved the simple menu…perfect.
Let me start by saying I’m not a huge fan of avocado toast BUT I ordered the Texas Avocado Toast and it was AMAZEBALLS. Served on ciabatta bread one half had the avocado and poached egg and the other with avocado and chorizo. Each slice also had thinly sliced cucumbers (unexpected but added to the toast) it was flavorful but not overwhelming was kinda zesty. I would order again in a heart beat!!
French toast was delicious. Had a nice crisp and flavor. It was perfectly made and served with just the right amount of syrup because you really don’t need much could have ate it without it.
Cappuccino was so good. It wasn’t bitter very smooth and I always add sugar but it was great even before I put the sugar in it.
Overall service….A…staff was sweet and my food came quickly and hot. Ten out ten would recommend and return. If you are in the area and you want something light but filling hit them up. There is outdoor seating as well and parking garage...
