I've shopped at Rhone many times at this location, however, on July 12th 2025 I received the worst or rather, lack thereof, service experience.
I walked in with my wife and my 5 month old child in a stroller. There was no greeting at the door by either the store manager Nicole or her associate working the floor. This is typically fine, people walk in and out and sometimes its hard to catch every single one.
However, when my wife and I split up to go to the woman's and men's sections independently my wife instantly received service. I still had yet to be greeted. It is a very small store so the ommission of attention has to be deliberate. Additionally, I began to add items to my cart to signal that I intended to purchase.
Even then, as I walked around there was no greeting or anybody asking me if I needed help. However those surrounding me instantly got attention even the people who just wandered into the store.
At one point, the store was empty with just my wife in the changing room and myself browsing the store. Again, Nicole and her associate actively avoided me, greeting only new customers.
I am typically not the person to say this but considering that my wife is white, the customers they greeted were white and I'm not speaks volumes. It is a serious accusation but at this point I'm left with no other feasible alternative.
Finally, when my wife went to check out, my wife turns to look at me and ask "Did you find anything that you liked?" and then the cashier instantly looks shocked going "Oh I didn't even know you guys were together". Of course she didn't know - how could a woman who spent 30 minutes ignoring me know who I was married to?
It was at that point I told the cashier that I was ignored and she didn't say anything to me and I would not be purchasing my items from that store. She didn't say anything and just said "OK". After that I promptly left the store.
Unfortunately, the story of poor experience doesn't end there. My wife ended up buying me the shirt but since I did not want to support the commission of the staff that ignored me I walked back to return it.
Upon returning it, the same woman that ignored me continued to launch an interrogation as to why I'm returning the item. I responded that it was due to the lack of attention. She said "Well I gave your wife good attention didn't I?" I was flabbergasted. Nicole, the store manager, stood behind her and didn't intervene at all. Only after the incident happened did she come up to say "We strive for better service". that was it.
I would highly encourage this matter be looked into and I would also be aware of how this store will treat you should you be a different color...
