Solid cafe serving sandwiches and other fare in a truly unique atmosphere. This deli is located inside an antique emporium. Nice setting with booths and tables. You order at the counter and they call your number. JJ is a really nice guy. I picked up a couple lobster rolls (a special that week). They were nearly $16 each (reasonable for a quality lobster roll) but I was skeptical. When I got home and opened the box I was impressed. This lobster roll was stuffed with meat. The roll (I think the authentic ones like the ones in Maine) was perfect. Buttered and toasted perfectly. It came with potato chips. Ii would get this again. I've been going to JJ's Deli since it first opened inside the Thomasville Emporium several years ago. The menu has expanded in a great way and now even offers breakfast on Saturday. I love being able to get a tasty half sandwich and soup at a reasonable price. Sometimes I order other items like their huge stuffed baked potatoes. Whatever you order, the portions are plentiful. My husband said the ham, homemade pimento cheese and bacon sandwich on buttered/toasted brioche bun was top notch and a strong contender for best sandwich ever. I was really wanting a deli type sandwich with a light side and this place came to mind. I went and it was exactly what I wanted. The sandwich was neatly made & worth the price. I got the half sandwich with half a baked potato along with pasta salad & banana pudding. I was impressed that the staff placed the pickle under the paper so it didn't seap onto my other food.
