Kids meal ...chicken leg w/ fries. My grand daughter was excited about getting a chicken leg. Most menus don't offer this on a kids menu. However, when her plate arrived the chicken leg look like a baby hen leg and was over cooked. Grand daughter age 6 never touched her chicken. Although she did like the fries. My daughter ordered the grill chicken, over cooked and dry. I ordered the chicken pie. Pie was burnt on bottom and the chicken was dry. My peach cobbler was burnt. Daughters banana pudding was nasty. One bite she was done. We got to go boxes. Brought home a $38.00 meal and our dog was very happy. Rare he gets people food, so he doesn't care about the taste. So it wasn't a total waste of money I guess. Saddens me to see what once was a good place to eat take no pride in the food they serve their customers whom by the way help pay the bills due on their restaurant. On a plus note... Our waitress was very polite and served what she was given for our meal. Not her fault. She got a tip. The cook/cooks really need to be replaced in my opinion. This isn't my normal way of doing this but I have decided that if I'm having to pay more for a meal. I'm going to express my opinion more on these reviews. At the end of the night, my daughter lost what food she did eat. Thank God she didn't force herself to continue to eat more than she did. I hope my honest review is read by the owner and they take it to heart vs a Closed / For Sale sign...
Read moreI went there today and I ordered the beef liver with onions and mine was very overcooked plus I waited over 40 minutes to get my food then the couple beside us just took their order they didn't get their food too after we finish eating hours understand this place gets busy and I understand that they usually have excellent food like I said I usually eat here all the time but today is the day that I have to Give It 2 Stars the last three times I have eaten here service has been terrible the prices seem to increase on certain things and it's not has good has it has been in the past which is a surprise because normally like I said before they have some of the best home cook meals here some of these waitresses he has hired they're not very good at keeping your drink refill sometimes you will sit at the table 5-10 minutes before they ask you if you're ready for your order I've noticed this two of the new waitress that he is actually hired they seem to do a whole lot of talking though and then when it comes to you there like I'm sorry I'm sorry about this the other day I walked in with my kid and I actually had to grab my own menu and there were 4 of them right there at the counter the new girl walked over and said sorry about that oh well hopefully in the future it will turn out better I don't plan on stopping to go there though although this is my favorite place I'm just hoping that it improves in the next couple of months or I won't have...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to try this spot out, having heard a couple good things. We opted for takeout and ordered a couple fried chicken dinners. It's not that the service was bad because we were greeted and treated politely. But the food was so inferior, so dry and so processed, I'm not sure how anyone wouldn't just opt for cooking at home on a regular. Probably why we do more often that not. Although we were supposed to receive a biscuit and hush puppies, neither was supplied. When my husband went in to get the missing hush puppies, seriously 4 of them dumped in a to go container not even fresh. The absolute driest, all day sitting out, no flavor and nuked chicken, not worthy for your pets as leftovers. Mac & cheese and peas, over processed mush. To be honest, every bit of food we received for that 27 bucks looked like it was taken from other people's plates. Nothing fresh or home cooked from a place whose history seemed fascinating until we were disrespected like that. Never...
