I absolutely love this place. I've been here numerous times, and everything I've tried has been delicious. The shrimp tacos are fantastic: the shrimp tastes super fresh, and the tacos are perfectly seasoned. The guacamole, pico de gallo, and the complimentary sauces that were served with the food are excellent too, and really take the meal to the next level. I've also tried the vegetable tacos (see pictures), the chicken tacos, the fish tacos, the tamales, sopes, taco salad, sofritos, and the horchata; all have been delicious. I've also tried their desserts, including the flan, tres leches, and the churros, and like the rest of the food, these are all delicious. Everything seems very fresh, and the food is definitely more authentic than some of the other "Mexican" restaurants in the area (so if you're expecting a more Americanized version, go elsewhere). The service has always been great too. I've come here with my mom, and she insists that the al pastor taco is the BEST taco she's ever eaten. Ever. Since discovering El Limon, it has become my favorite restaurant in the area. Plus, I LOVE that you can get a complimentary margarita...
Read moreThe food here was just bad and the employees are racist and don't speak English. I ordered nasty fish tacos with zero spices and I told the waiter the food wasn't good and he said ok and walked away. As if that isn't bad enough I told the other lady who works here the fish was bad but guacamole, rice and beans was good and she called me a gringo which is racist terminology for white people and said gringos dont use spices. I promptly told her in Spanish that that term was mean and she shouldnt use it because it was racist and provided her with my family history which includes my grandfather being from Spain and the fact that I cook with way more spices than them.. They tried to pass it off as a food allergy in their no to broken English because I asked about cross contamination with meat products. Horrible and they didn't take anything off the bill....
Read moreThe place is very clean and the staff is pleasant and courteous. The food came out in a timely manner. The food is the reason for the 3 stars though. It’s a bit too Americanized. The rice tasted like it was made from Uncle Ben. The beans were more like soup than refried, and the kick I usually get from enchiladas just was nonexistent. To top things off, the orchata was watered down. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in a 5 mile radius from here that are dingier, slower serviced with staff that barely speak English that make up the difference with food quality. If authenticity and fantastic Mexican flavor is what you’re looking for, go there. If a descent quick “Mexican” plate is what you crave, Limón is the...
