Crystal's — Restaurant in Thornton Township

Normally the last two times I went it was a good experience. I got what I ordered but, today I got home with my food and my fries wasn't in my catfish dinner. When I ordered my food, I asked for red beans and rice "On" the side. They made it as if, I ordered a catfish dinner with red beans. However, when I ordered a catfish dinner fries were supposed to come with it. Who orders catfish w/o fries? Really.

When I called up there the punk got sarcastic. Thank God I know how to cook the same foods. Not to mention Pete's just right across the street. Hello. Don't take customers for granite. (It will be a couple years again before I go there again). I'm updating my rating from some time ago becuase of my recent experience. On 4/30/2022 (its been yrs since I've been) at about 9pm, I placed my order in the drive thru with a male and was quoted a total price of $5.63. When I paid w/my card, my receipt handed back to me w/my card had $5.63 total charge printed on it.

I check my acct daily, so when I checked and saw $6 "pending", I was like, that's NOT right but it was "pending" so I gave the benefit of the doubt and decided to wait and see the final amount once it "posted". WELP the final charge to my acct IS $6 even and NOT $5.63. Although it's change, change adds up!

I'm probably not the only person that this has happened to... IF there's a fee charged to use a card then it MUST be advised BEFORE the order is taken and BEFORE the card is charged whether it is verbal and/or posted - don't ASSume it's known. For the record, I saw no posting in the drive thru.

My review is based solely off of their chicken!!!!!!! They have some really good,well seasoned chicken! Their fries are really good too! I order the wings (also 1/4 white) with and without sauce,but when I do get sauce it’s definitely their mild because it’s very tasty! Their food is cooked to order and it’s always fresh! Depending on when you go the line (drive thru) can be very long!! Always worth the wait for me,but some people will stay in their cars on the main street (Sibley) waiting for a spot in the parking lot. It’s a pretty small space on the inside. Their flavored iced type drinks are good too. They accept cash,debit/cc/AP! The staff I’ve dealt with over the years have always been friendly! I’ve had other meals overtime too,but I really enjoy the chicken the most. Almost forgot,burritos are good too!! They also follow instruction regarding how you want your food prepared. Always a win for me! Last but not least,I now travel about 25 minutes to get there because I don’t live as close as I initially...
