Fuzzy's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Thornton

For the record, I've been to this Fuzzy's location quite a few times. And have been to other locations in the area (Arvada & Westminster). This location is really falling off hard! Last night's experience will be my last time at this Fuzzy's location.

Here is a quick summary of my experience.... When we arrived the young woman taking our order was either really stoned or a complete twit (or both)... She couldn't wrap her head around our order, which consisted of 2 taco plates with a crunchy chicken/crunchy brisket taco, with friend potatoes and refried beans. We also ordered 2 Modelos from the bar. Not only was she too high to understand what we were saying, she had a bad attitude. Lol she even swiped my drivers license for payment!

After we finally got the order in, we overheard some loud bickering between the "older" gentleman who we assumed to be the manager, and the gal behind the bar about the flavor of Modelos that we ordered. Super uncomfortable.

Next, we went to go pickup our order from the counter and it was half complete. So we had to wait another 5 minutes for the rest of our food. They didn't even offer to heat up the plate that had been sitting while we waited.

After 20 or so minutes of arrival, we finally got to sit down and eat. The food was straight up bad, and under cooked. And to top it all off, I woke up today feeling like Montezuma's Revenge.

Won't be going back anytime soon.... Shame, we...

If I could give less than a star I would. I have to say went on Taco Tuesday expecting it to be crowded and busy and it sure was. They even told me the wait time was long before I ordered. I was totally fine with that. Met up with some friends. One friend got there about 6:40 and ordered. The next 3 pals got there at about 6:45 and ordered. I got there at 7 and ordered. The person that ordered at 640 got served, and then a long waiting period happened (to be expected on taco tuesday). Then I got served before my friends who showed up a decent amount of time before me. They started checking on their dinner without being too impatient. Thier orders were for simple tacos with nothing special in any way shape or form . They gave in and finally asked for a manager after waiting almost an hour with a one year old... Fuzzys had to look all over for the manager, and then the manager offered free dinner coupons to come back still before even being freaking served their dinner!! The manager miraculously found their dinner. It was served nice and ice cold!! What a joke! The food I had was mediocre-at-best. I ordered their amazing "queso" and it was served ice cold also. I know I sound like one of those crazy people that complains all the time at every place they go, but I am absolutely not. Their service was an absolute utter joke, and a total waste of time, and money. The food was mediocre fat best. Sad, the place looks really cool and was...

Let me preface this review by saying that the food was excellent. That really speaks to good ownership, a good supply chain, and good recipes. The amazing food was the reason this review has two stars.

I visited this location on a Thursday night, these were many folks visiting but there was no line. I had my one year old son with me. The ordering process was easy and the cashier was very helpful. We waited for our food and they called my name. Under the assumption that I had everything I left, and began loading my everything. Alone, with a small child everything can be quite an ordeal. It was part-way through this process I thought, 'there was no way what they've given me is all our food.' Now I had to unload and return inside. I spoke to the name-caller girl and she reassured me that the food would be right out. Unfortunately they must have completely neglected to check the ticket because I waited through several other orders before the rest of our meal came out. While waiting I saw them make the same mistake with some other customers. Though I eventually got all our food, half of it was cold.

As I said the food was excellent, but if the staff here is incapable of getting things right I may just have to go to a different location....
