Stopped by this donut shop 15 minutes before closing time. I've read very good reviews about both the service and the donuts, but maybe today was not a good day. It was close to closing time, but they were still open, and we totally got the vibe from the moment that we walked in that they couldn't wait to leave. We were greeted with "we're closing already" as soon as we walked in. I walked up to the glass case because there were donuts in there but was immediately told, "we're only selling the boxed donuts now." So, I walked over to the table of boxed donuts and still decided to buy one even though so far the service was terrible. But we thought, maybe the donuts are very good. They were not. They were ok, but nothing spectacular. We've had better donuts. Even though the donuts were edible, we won't be back because of our customer service experience. If you're ready to go and no longer want customers, lock your door. If you don't want to sell your donuts, take them out of the display case. Don't recommend it.

Fantastic donuts. There are (sometimes) two different gluten free options. One type is baked (not fried), and Mo bakes them in separate trays to avoid cross contamination. And the staff are happy to change into clean gloves when serving those donuts. My wife and daughter have Celiac disease, and we've had these on two different weekends with no issues. And they're incredibly delicious.(See the attached pics of the baked GF options). Sometimes he has fried GF options as well. Those are fried in the same oil as the other donuts, so they're not Celiac safe. But they're a good option for those who are choosing a gluten-free diet. My only constructive criticism would be to reconsider the flow of how the customers move through the restaurant. It's a little awkward and could use some refinement. I'm sure he'll get it dialed in though.

Everything! I don't usually eat sweets but they have something for everyone. The donuts are light and fluffy with just the right amount of glaze and specialty donuts/Danishes are incredible! There are plenty of savory options like breakfast burritos, a jalapeno and cheese "Danish" option and the friendliest owner!!! There are many options if you want half/whole dozens of different types of donuts. I also overheard they do catering. :D There was so much to see I guess I'll have to go back...for research purposes of course. ;)

Yes, the line was long but that should be expected for a new place that just opened up. And even as they continue to do business I wouldn’t be surprised of a wait - not unexpected for a great donut shop and well worth it! The line/wait is no different than another great donut shop that we would visit in Louisville. But now there is a place much closer by!

The staff was very friendly, greeted us even as they saw us enter the store, and helped everyone as quickly as they possibly could. Was even apologetic that there was a line!

There are a lot of donut varieties to select from and they just melt in your mouth! They can fill your freshly made delicious donut with a jelly choice if you so desire.

Cost - yes the donuts can be expensive - but it depends on what you select. We picked out a dozen which included apple fritters, bear claws, bizmarks, large cinnamon roll, cake donuts, croissant donut, etc and it came to over $40. So yes more than a local grocery store donut, but yet much more variety, flavor, and yumminess than a grocery store donut provides. Like everything else these days, costs of doing a business is not cheap and finding good help can be tough to come by. I wish them success in their business endeavors and hope they are able to be around for many years to come!

(I was not paid in the least for this review, just a local who appreciates how hard it is for a brick and mortar business to survive...

I wanted to say something, somewhere, because their service and attentiveness to their customers was outstanding. Kudos.

As soon as I walked in the team at The Donut house said hello and came out from the behind the counter to show me everything. While looking at their display of beautiful donuts, they gave me a tour of all their flavors.

Among their many delicious flavors, it's hard to beat their star of the show: the cronut. They gave me a sample and i ordered one for myself. They have a sugared Cronut, a cinnamon sugar and the classic glazed. They also have one topped with berries and cream, as well as other traditional cake donuts.

Classic glazed cronut is the way to go. You can order it filled with different jams and creams. Strawberry was what I picked and I was not disappointed. Crispy and flaky layers with a fruity filling. It was a great sweet treat to go with my coffee. They have a reward program that I recommend using. Great coupons that allowed me to order again but this time for me and my co-workers on my way to work. Family friendly. They do have some seating if you want to sit and enjoy.

Fantastic service. Thank you,...

Update: I’ve changed my review to five stars because of how well the manager handled the situation after the fact. I received a phone call the day my event. He was very apologetic and explained a bit more about the situation and what happened. He even offered to cover the donuts for our next event. It’s not common that you see a business take accountability for their mistakes. While I wish we could have had donuts for our event, I know things happen and will definitely be giving them another chance because of the manager’s response.

Do not order ahead of time from The Donut House and trust that you will receive your order. I made a large order a few days before an event I had where I needed donuts. I was driving to pick them up early in the morning, when I received a text message saying they would not be able to complete my order. It was 10 minutes before my pickup time. I was so disappointed. It put me in a huge bind for my event. They didn’t even have the decency to call me and talk to me about it. Just a short text message. Incredibly unprofessional. I give it 1 star instead of 0 because the donuts are actually tasty, but it...
