Butler's Pizza — Restaurant in Thousand Oaks

I am giving it 5 stars because it is the best pizza I have tasted in decades...no lie....and I'm 100% Italian so I know my pizza. I am not giving a star off for my only complaint because it is the best pizza.....but you do not use enough mozzerella cheese so with my toppings, I always order extra cheese and it's perfect. The cheese pulls away when you grab a piece like it's supposed to. The cheaper places for pizza is understandable...you get what you pay for, but your pizza is not cheap, so I expect it to have enough cheese, and having to pay for more cheese instead of adding another item just irritates me because the toppings aren't inexpensive. Ok, now that I've gotten that off my chest, I will tell you that we order from here at least once a week. I hope that Butlers reads this and gives it some thought. There is only one other place, (except NYC, lolol....too far) that I will order pizza and that's Little Tony's Pizza in North Hollywood, and that's only when we go down south to...

Oh my. I recently went dairy-free... as in 4 days ago, and cheese is my absolute favorite food. So needless to say it has been a little challenging so far and I am not one of those easy-to-please vegans when it comes to substitutes for traditional meat and dairy products. But this review pertains to a personal-sized vegan pizza I ordered. It sure hit the mark. Really amazingly flavorful! The melted “cheese” was delicious. I added olives for the saltiness, mushrooms for the mouth-feel, and basil to set off the equally delicious tomato sauce. And don’t even get me started on the crispy thin crust...Very impressed!...

Not sure they even made a fresh pizza!! The cheese looked like how cheese looks on a pizza that's been sitting out all day. It wasnt even hot, more like a warm/cold. I had to heat it up which made it taste more like day old pizza. Is it because its Superbowl Sunday, did noone feel like working?! What a disappointment! Being from Philly it has been near impossible to find good pizza out here. I finally found a place when I lived in LA, now had to search for a new place when I moved to Thousand Oaks. What in the world!!?? Back to the search for good pizza, though I'm convinced noone on the West Coast can...
