Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Thousand Oaks

Usually great, but this past Friday, not so much. We went in on the later side, the gut made the sandwiches without asking if we wanted anything on them. Just rolled them up and that was it. One came with blue cheese, but the moment I ordered it I specifically stated ranch instead of blue cheese. When he rolled them up I stated I wanted to add certain veggies and he told me they already come with specific toppings. When I asked about the blue cheese/ranch, he said I never said that, although he repeated it back as he was getting the bread. So I asked he put veggies on the the others, and he then commented "I guess I'll have to make you a new sandwich with Ranch too." I get he's a young kid, and probably didn't want to be working on a Friday night, but even if I was wrong in everything I said, the attitude was nor appreciated. Hopefully, it was a one-time thing. My daughter and I love grabbing sandwiches and heading to the park for a picnic or for movie night, everyone here is usually great. It's actually my first bad experience, so I'm going to give an extra star...

While the #17 was good, no complaints. There needs to be a balance between preparing phone orders and servicing the customer that drives to your location, parks, and enters your place, and wait for phone orders to be prepared before their order is even taken. And yet there was a line of people waiting to come in an pick up their phone orders. While it is not the employees' fault, they were all working hard, this is a management controllable issue that must be addressed. Improve the process so there is a good balance so people with short lunch periods can get it and out like they should be able to do. I have been to several Jersey's and, all but one, were not well organized. They had a well defined and controlled process! Need to figure it...

I have eaten here a half dozen times and on one occasion it was the best sandwich I have ever had! 4 Stars for food quality

The biggest negative about this specific Jersey Mike's is that they will allow the phone to ring off the hook. On this specific day, between 6:30PM and 7:15PM - I called them 26 times, and the phone range 15 times before going to an empty voice mail. Zero Stars for Service.

Instead of hiring someone to handle peak hours or a phone center to handle all calls and route them to the proper Mike's location - the staff does not answer the phone and sends me the message that they do not care.

In my book, this is abysmal service and I will never order or eat at this (and maybe any other) Jersey...
