Namaste Spiceland prices are unreasonably high. It makes sense to buy something at this store only if you are in urgency and have no other choice. But if you do have a choice then stay away from this place.
PRICE: I did a thorough price comparison on a variety of Indian grocery items listed at Namaste Spiceland and other Indian grocery stores. Namaste Spiceland prices are anywhere between 57%-180% higher than other Indian grocery stores in Woodland Hills.
Next I compared their prices with Valley Produce in Simi Valley which has a wide range of Indian and other ethnic groceries and Valley Produce prices are "much much much lower" than Namaste Spiceland. Take a Sona Masoori rice bag for example, Valley produce sells it between $12.99-$13.99, depending on brand for a 20lb rice bag and Namaste Spiceland is selling the same for $16.99 - $19.99.

Cockroaches, you don't have to be lucky to find one, chances are you will find them along the aisles, kitchen and restroom areas. Speaking of restroom, unless your bladder is begging you to drain it out, don't you dare step inside their restrooms.
Food, is average quality nothing to rave, just like normal street food that you get elsewhere.
Bottom line, if you are living in and around Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village and you need Indian groceries and ethnic vegetables drive to Valley Produce and purchase there. Even stores like ISS, Sunshine in Woodland Hills sell good at higher price compared to Valley Produce in Vanowen St and Simi.
If you are one among those who purchases groceries in bulk then head out to Artesia with your family, purchase groceries at dirt cheap prices, enjoy lunch and dinner at some of the finest restaurants there, then watch an Indian movie, stroll along the Blvd and come home. End of the day you would have spent your money...
Read moreStep into this delightful Indian grocery and food shop in Thousand Oaks, and you'll quickly realize it's not your ordinary store or restaurant. It's a unique hybrid that's a true jack of all trades and a master of creating an unforgettable experience.
Let's talk about what makes this place stand out. Sure, their individual offerings might not be the absolute best in their respective categories, but here's the magic: the sum of all they provide is greater than what you'd find elsewhere.
First off, you've got the convenience factor covered. Their selection of fast food items at the counter means you can grab a quick and tasty bite while shopping for your groceries. It's a double win! Speaking of groceries, they offer a fantastic array of Indian foodstuffs that'll make any home cook's heart sing.
But that's not all. On a sunny day in Thousand Oaks, you can enjoy your meal in the great outdoors. The seating area is beautifully decked out with fun Indian touches like an auto rickshaw, colorful wood benches, red scooter, shamiyana, and even a truck's front. It's like a mini vacation to India without leaving town.
If you prefer the indoors, they've got you covered too with decent seating. Plus, there's free parking and easy access from the highway, making your visit a breeze. Staff is quite friendly too!
And here's the kicker: they once hosted a pretty nice and free Kathak show right in their parking lot! That's the kind of extra flair that makes this place truly special.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the chat. If you're willing to make a 30-minute drive just for their chat, that tells you how amazing it is. That's the power of this place. It offers something so good that it's worth the journey.
Overall, this place is an absolute gem. It might not be the best at any one thing, but it's the sum of all its wonderful parts that make it shine. It will also not break your bank.
So if you're in Thousand Oaks and want an exceptional experience that's easy on the wallet, this is the place to be. Five stars for the fun, flavor, and fantastic...
Read moreWe had catering through Namaste Spiceland for an event in our home with 50 guests and I would highly recommend!!
We really loved all the food and drinks. Our parents also approved! The chai actually had an authentic flavor and not bland like every other restaurant. Mango lassi was well balanced and a hit. They make any dish even if it’s not on the menu. We had Dabeli for brunch and everyone loved it (non-Indians and even the picky Gujaratis). Palak paneer was perfect with lots of paneer. Chole masala was balanced. Jeera rice was so flavorful. The best part was definitely the live Pani Puri station. All our guests were raving about the pani puri afterwards and the tasty water.
Better than the food was their service! Jitesh was very helpful in coming up with the menu and reassuring us that he would be able to work with whatever space we had. From start to end, they were SO kind. The delivery/set-up was perfectly on time and so seamless. They also did not hurry to leave after the meal ended and ensured everyone had eaten before packing up.
I spoke with all the other Indian restaurants in Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village for catering and found them to be rude and not flexible. I would highly recommend Namaste spiceland for their delicious food...
