First time here! Leaving work I was craving Carne asada fries and this was this closest restaurant that came up the area that I was in. It's a small place and the limited decor tells you it caters to loyal food goers - very casual. My partner and I went in and decided to try 3 different plates and the horchata. We opted to dine in since most people were taking their food to go. Let's get down to the food reviews:
Tacos: Juicy, tender meats, flavorful. Was offered three different salsas - red, green, and avocado. We asked to get all three. My partner (who loves all things spicy) said they were medium spicy and meshed well with the flavors of the meats.
Birria quesadilla combo: Birria was flavorful, consistent through all pieces. Not soaking (which I wouldn't mind) and also not super oily. Could be improved by the additional of a small cup of consumé.
Carne asada fries: Fresh fries, fresh toppings, meat had great texture and flavor you'd expect. Would recommend!
Horchata: Approximately 20oz for just under $4. Good enough flavor. No rice chunks, nor powdery. Tasted fresh. No refills included.
You will get full with a combo plate or fries order - ask for a box and take the rest home if you dine in!
Conclusion: Can't get to the valley for tacos or asada fries...? This is...
Read moreMy husband and I have been shopping at the small, independently owned local Latino Market for years. The service is quick, polite and always helpful. The prices are very reasonable, and the produce and meat sections are well stocked and fresh. We absolutely love their fresh pollo marinado (marinated chicken) it is delicious! We grill several pounds of it every week. We haven’t eaten at the restaurant, but we often buy containers of their homemade rice, beans, Pico de Gallo and salsa to go. We like those very much. In fact, this weekend we are having a party for 30 guests and we will be serving Latino Market’s pollo marinado as...
Read moreFood is generally good but I ordered from Uber Eats this weekend and my order was woefully incorrect. For milanesa it is supposed to include guac, sour cream, pico, and i was offered another sauce so I chose avocado salsa. None of it showed up in my order. The receipt does not show any of this but the order does. Also, you can't add meat to a quesadilla in the Uber app. Two things: for what we pay to have this delivered the order should have been double checked and done right. You need to reach out to Uber to get these issues corrected immediately because they are screwing up...
