Ok amigos—let me tell you, I’m an Ecuadorian girl raised on full-blown Peruvian food (yes, I grew up on the real deal). I’ve lived in Thousand Oaks for the past 12 years, and finding authentic, soul-satisfying Peruvian cuisine has felt nearly impossible… until today.
Enter: Inca Kingdom. From the very first bite, I knew this place was something special. The flavors transported me straight back to my childhood kitchen—where abuela would be humming a tune, apron on, pouring love into every dish.
The minestrone soup was rich, vibrant, and comforting. And the lomo saltado? Perfection. The meat was tender, the onions perfectly sautéed, and the fries soaked up all those magical juices just right. It was flavorful, hearty, and undeniably authentic.

We visited this new Peruvian restaurant yesterday and it honestly felt like eating at home in Peru. The food has that cozy, homemade flavor. Everyone on the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The space is really cute and well decorated, and they even have a market on the side with Peruvian products (so nice not having to drive all the way to LA for those!). My boyfriend (Peruvian) ana I got the pan con chicharron and ceviche, and ended up taking about half the sandwich as leftovers.
The pan con chicharron was heavenly! Flavorful tender pork with sweet potato and pickled onions. Added some aji verde and it was absolutely perfect.
The ceviche de pescado was also delicious and a pretty generous portion - super tangy leche de tigre, fresh fish, well balanced.
