This is a local treasure. A full bar, great Persian cuisine, and friendly service. We dropped by after running a few errands on Moorpark Rd and were delighted. The portions are huge. The picture below is half of the kabob portion. We shared a single order and brought home almost half for leftovers. A nice selection of cocktails and beers and bottles. We look forward to our next visit. The baklava was a nice way to end the meal. It has a bit of a unique flavor, which I assume is the Persian style. There were all ages of families there, from elderly to families with young children. You could sit a larger group there of 10 to 15 without difficulty. But there's also plenty of cozy seating arrangements for couples or small groups. There's outdoor seating with heat lamps and lights along TO Boulevard on a nice evening.

As we entered the restaurant at 11: 30 am right after it was opened, we were surprised by readiness, and cheerfulness of our host and server Hamid. As he found out that we were first time visitors he took time to explain menu items along with local favorites. Our family of four ordered juicy chicken, koobideh and chicken koobideh. Main menu items may be ordered as half rice / half salad with many choices of gourmet rices and specialty salads. Everyone in our family enjoyed Sadaf's well prepared delicious foods, and great hospitality .. definitely among the best (Five Stars) we ever tried. Highly Recommended !

It was my first time there. What a great place to eat and hang with friends. The staff could not be more attentive and engaging. Very pleasant and courteous. We had the shrimp kabob (large shrimp marinated to perfection, fried and served over the perfect rice)the whitefish kabob ( marinated with saffron and other spices), the salmon kabob (grilled with seasoning)and the soltani. We also had the house doogh, regular doogh, tea. The Sophia desert was out of this world. Never had something like it). It was a great night.

Very disappointed as we have been dining at this restaurant for more than a decade. We had lunch at this restaurant yesterday and we were 3 adults and 3 children. When we were presented with the check, we did not realize that the server added an 18% service charge and this was never mentioned. As a habit, we just added the tip and paid the total by our credit card.

This is completely not right to do to a trusting customer. We understand the fact that some restaurants may add their own tip for a party of 8 diners or more, but in our case, the kids only had white rice and one of them did not eat at all.

Beware of this scam of a behavior because by not realizing they added their own service charge, we ended up paying an approximate 40% tip, which was definitely not deserved, nor right to conceal the extra charge from us.

We will not be dining at this restaurant in the future. Shame on you for pulling this trick on long time and...

We ordered our food to take out as always, but this time I was very disappointed. The fillet mignon kabab had a smell and was not properly marinated. The lamb shank tasted awful and was full of fat. The juicy BBQ chicken was supposed to be juicy but it was dry. Beef Koobideh was good and persian salad was good. Our order was over $400 and we had company at home and this order was the main meal. Very disappointed this time and it appears that the quality is going down. Perhaps when they cater the food out, the quality served is not important to the manager or the Chief, as no-one is there to directly complain or refuse the food. Sorry, I will try...
