I always get their perfectly, portioned carne asada burritos, which only costs $11, here when I need a quick fix in Thousand Oaks! Sometimes I do get their tortas as well. Super consistent with their taste and they are quick with your order even when they are busy. The burrito has rice, beans, pico de gallo, melted cheese, and seasoned steak. You can also add guacamole with added cost. They have 3 levels of spice, but no avocado sauce. Their 3 salsas tastes ok. I’ve had better, but I’ve also had worst where there was no flavor and just tasted watered down. I do like their spiciest habanero salsa, so definitely ask for that if you love spice. No extra veggie/condiments you can get from a usual self serve station that most trucks have. I always love to have radishes and some lime/lemon wedges on the side to eat my food with. Maybe you have to ask? Not to sure. So in general, 4/5 for food. The small stuff really matters. The busiest that I’ve seen them is about 4 parties waiting for food and about 5-6 parties waiting to order. During that time I’ll wait for around 10-15mins in line and 10-15mins for my order. I rated service and atmosphere 4/5 and gave a total of 4/5 stars because I would have wished they had some sort of seating or tables set up for those who want to eat their food right away. I understand that it’s a food truck and might not offer it, but some trucks go out of their way to do it as well. It could be some sort of regulation in that area or because it’s in such a small sidewalk area. It may seem sketchy at night because it is dimly lit in that area. They have great lights when you walk up to their truck, but that’s about it. The other areas are a bit dark. I think it would be great if they added one or two more lights to cover more area for customers so they feel more comfortable waiting outside at night for their food.

La Poblanita Taco Truck Is Out Of This World!! From what I understand, this IS the Only Taco Truck in T.O.? What the heck? Why aren't there More?!?! Are they scared? Do they not feel they can succeed in this city? I reckon it could be because La Poblanita Taco Truck would give them a run for their money. As far as their food? Well, I'll just say the last time I had Mexican food this good, was when I was in Mexico. Isla Mujeres to be exact. Why spend thousands on a Mexican Vacation, when the taste of Mexico is right around the corner? Give them a try! You won't be sorry! Incidentally at the time of this review, there are No 1 or 2 Star reviews. In my opinion, that's pretty Rad!!

Pretty much choices for Mexican food. There are many different choices of proteins for tacos and burritos. Try the asada, chorizo, Al Pastor and the special one of shrimp, they all taste good, especially the shrimp is so tender. They give much cilantro, onions and fried onions in the everything topping. Feel grateful for having the items in a time. However, I ordered the lengua but they are out of stock. You know that lengua is more expensive than the others. So they only give me a cheaper substitution while not giving the difference back to me. Also, one has to pay much without giving instructions when paying by credit card.

This is a taco truck that is THE SPOT in Thousand Oaks on a weekend night for a very tasty taco (with Bad Ass tacos as a runner up). They are not the best tacos in the word, but they are very tasty and very fresh and better than anything else you will find within 10 miles. It's hard to match authentic tacos from Puebla, but they give it a very solid try. Asada, pollo, etc., especially the lengua, all of it is delicious.

Al Pastor is best right off the spindle and straight to the taco, like they do in Mexico. In the US, probably for health & safety reasons, the meat is taken off the spindle and then placed on the fryer grill to get cooked a bit more thoroughly before it is placed on the taco for eating. So the meat always ends up being a little dryer and harder and is always is a little less tasty than the real Mexico variety, but you won't get some strange pork parasite or food poisoning, so probably worth it. The al pastor here is great--very tasty with sold sweet-spicy-salty flavors.

The agua fresca options are also top notch. The horchata and Jamaica are clearly made from scratch and not concentrate like at a lot of other Mexican restaurants.

Get a plate and eat at the truck or take it home and enjoy. You won't be disappointed in the slightest.

The salsa has great flavor and the roja (red) has a solid spice...

La Poblanita Taco Truck is a hidden gem that is sure to satisfy your taco cravings. While there may be long lines and a potential wait, trust me, it's well worth it! Planning ahead and calling in your order can save you some time and ensure you don't miss out on these delectable items.

One minor inconvenience is that they only accept cash, so make sure to have some on hand. However, once you take your first bite of their Carne Asada tacos, any inconvenience quickly fades away. They have ever typical meat option and each is cooked to perfection - tender, juicy, and bursting with authentic flavors. Each bite is a true delight for your taste buds, leaving you craving more with every mouthful.

La Poblanita Taco Truck may have its quirks, but the flavors and quality of their tacos make it a must-visit for any taco enthusiast. Prepare for a wait, but rest assured, the reward will be worth it. Don't miss out on this little treasure trove of irresistible...
