Newberry Candy — Restaurant in Thousand Oaks

I was sending my Mom Carmel apples with all the trimmings from Amazon. I found if it’s not a major holiday it seemed to have delivery dates far later than ordered. I accidentally came upon Newberry candy and I was absolutely delighted. The caramel apples, again with all the trimmings (and far more) are fabulously fresh, much larger than expected & my Mom loved them. Of course I had to do my version of a yelp review and asked her which she preferred better. Hands-down she said Newberry’s were superior in so many ways in particular the choclate toppings are much softer the Apples are fresher & much larger & the best part the Carmel was soft & delectable. That’s from 84 yr old Tobie ♥️. So while I am perusing there entire inventory while placing my 2nd order, I decided I must try the fudge. OMG..... I haven’t had fudge since my last trip to Disneyland. It was so delicious I had to try all the different flavors which I believe were fudge, fudge with nuts, pumpkin & surprisingly enough I tried the white chocolate normally not a huge fan and it was to die for 👌. I’m now prepping the care package for my son in college. Another visit and yet again they are so friendly and helpful and it warms my heart there a local company here in our area Thousand Oaks. I recommend all must try Newbury Candy & seriously coincider your incoming holiday gifts exchanged. Another thing I’m considering is my small corporate gifts for my business associates and clients this year....

I was looking for a gift for my friend for her birthday and I came across Newberry Candy's website. While looking, I came across a Mickey candy apple. My friend loves Disney, so I thought it'd be the perfect gift. I called the next morning to see if they had any available. The woman I talked to said no, but she could make one for me. I said that would be great and she asked me what I'd like in terms color, if I wanted a Minnie or a Mickey, etc. I asked if I could do a pink Minnie and red Mickey, and she said yes. She asked what time I'd like them ready and I said around 4 pm. Later that day, I went down to pick them up and they were just being finished. They turned out so cute and the woman I spoke with was so nice and told me they make other Disney characters too.

While I was there, I also got a couple chocolate covered mint oreos, which were delicious!

Overall, really great service, good candy, very cute store....

I've had the privilege of attending a lot of Conejo Chamber of Commerce events and they have frequently had Newberry Candy as a vendor present. Every time I have tried one of the treats they have been DIVINE.

I even tried one of their chocolate dipped orange rinds at one of the events AND IT WAS GOOD, never had that before.

Anyway, I checked LinkedIn and it turned out they were having a grand reopening because apparently someone smashed through their door with a car. Wild. So I went to the store, bought 2 caramel apples (Oreo and apple pie), fudge, and a chocolate covered graham cracker for my sweetheart.

I had the full intention of just eating part of the Oreo caramel apple. I ended up eating the whole damn thing in one go, it was so good.
