This review is for January 24th 2021 well since I can't post a review twice I have to edit this which was not very good even dealt with a manager by the name vhris by the name of chris stopped for lunch after taking our son to college me my wife and my son all sat down to eat the steak and cheese sandwich back we ordered two regular one with no oven ones I did make a mistake I'm not taking any picture to show or the one with no onions came with the ice cream scoop size of meat in the middle of the sandwich and cheese on it that was not even melted me and my sons came with just a scoop of steak onion and a slice of cheese was melted but did not resemble the picture at all not even close also I ordered a three-piece chicken I asked for it a breast a thigh and a whale we received our food sat down and all US open our sandwiches the sandwiches not marked which one had onions which one didn't so it was like open it up see which one's surprise well I took the sandwich back up I didn't have no onions and asked to speak to the manager I told him I said we got three sandwiches none of them looks like the picture that it is sold it only looks close it is excuse wise we only use 4 oz of meat okay it's all in the presentation I told him that means should be spread across the samples not just in a scoop and I explained to him on this one the cheese is not even melted so after I showed it to him he opened it up and looked at it this is that's just the way it is I said fine I said remake this one please you did not want to but he did and I clearly stated this is the one with no unlocks so he took the sandwich went back and made it itself which we ended up throwing in the trash at the end I watched him make it went back then the girl on the back line he had a glove on one hand and nothing on the other making a sandwich a manager not having gloves on both of hands a manager supposed to send the example and follow the rules he made it came back on his there you go took the sandwich went and sat down told my wife we'll go eat somewhere else I said already bother to ask for the money back he's just arrogant but I open the sandwich up and my wife said look it's even full of onions and she did not want onions so I threw my sandwich away my wife threw her's away my son ate his we sat there and picked up the chicken that I ordered I haven't had chicken so dried out and such a long time this chicken you can apply for a glass of water on it I still wouldn't hydrate it I thought they gave me chicken jerky every piece of meat that would have any juice in it was the thigh but the turtle show baked fried chicken mix was so hard you couldn't do nothing with it the skin went in the trash you couldn't eat the crunchy on the skin it was so hard we had to enjoy all time the first time we were there we went a breakfast there and we came back and ate lunch as of yesterday Sunday January 24th 2021 it was an awful place the other young girls at the counter was very nice I didn't try to get the young man at the register to see there's any manager specials for chicken he just looked at me with a question mark like he never heard of it but we did have a good biscuit the biscuit was good I guess one thing out of everything for make everything good but being such a small town it should have high standards they got a small place to take care of it shouldn't should not be so hard of our place for them to stand out in the shine which they did before this is too bad...
Read moreHow nice it was to eat a Roy Roger's before Hardee's bought them up, just for their chicken recipe, only to man years later go Carl's Jr. no longer selling it. If you're "fortunate" (read: older) enough to remember RR from the 80's, you'll know exactly why "those other guy's that rhyme with Parby's" is pleef (plastic beef) in texture and taste. I long for the day that Roy Roger's is back to full strength with over 650 stores again. But for now, I make it a point regardless of time of day, to stop off here on my way to Pennsylvania from South Carolina. If you have never tried Roy Roger's, it's an absolute must. Roast Beef (it looks, feels and tastes real, because it is..unprocessed non-liquified into a gelatinous blob then cooked like that other place does), Double R burger, chicken, it doesn't matter, all is good. Like your Roast Beef or Doubke R burger with certain fixin's, don't fret, they not only offer self serve fresh tomatoes, onions, lettuce, etc. but they don't charge any extra for them! Make it just like you like it. Don't forget the Roy's Sauce on that roast beef though (your choice if you want it, but know it comes highly recommended). Just had Roy Roger's on the way back from Pennsylvania to South Carolina last night and already missing this place. Kudos Plamondon Companies, for bringing back THE roast beef...
Read moreUpon walking in the atmosphere, it was a bit hostile. The manager was openly and loudly belittling one of the employees in front of us and other customers. She said they were too short staffed for him to be standing there. The problem was we were there to start our order but had to wait for her to finish being nasty. But Jacob was great, friendly, and helpful. The tables were clean, but I could not get it out of my head how horribly Jacob was treated by the manager. And we watched as he continued to be sweet and smiling at each customer. Later, I needed to go up there to get a knife for my jelly and another nice employee attempt to help, but I asked to speak with Jacob. After he gave me the knife, I told him he was doing great and not to let her bring him down. She glared at me as I ate, and she then stood there and did nothing. That was what she yelled at him for doing, and now she did it. That manager, Christina Hill, per the sign, was the one that made this a less than ideal experience. I have enclosed a photo. I attempted to let Roy Rogers Corp know, and they thanked me for hearing of our Positive experience, ...
