Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in Tiburon

I'd give it 4 stars if it was a restaurant but how can you give 4 or 5 stars to a coffee shop? You would be comparing a great to top quality coffee shop to a great to top of the field restaurant and I feel that can't be done. Anyway, my reviews, my rules.

Okay, a really, really good coffee place with excellent coffee drinks, sweets, and the help. I think everyone including the patrons and the employees are pretty happy here.

One glaring thing grabs me every time I come in. I often get the cheese and apple box along with a chia latte and I feel like a criminal. Why? Because there is so much plastic involved. First the box and then all the little plastic containers with little plastic lids on them. 3 or is it 4? I feel like I've used 3 people's plastic allotment for the day each time I purchase the cheese and apple box.

For Peets Sake, if you hired one employee for let's say 3 hours a day to prepare the food on washable plates and wash the dishes after, you Peet,could save a hella amount of plastics needing to be recycled into the world system.

Rudest customer service I have ever experienced at a Peet's coffee. We were treated so poorly after they messed up both of our drinks. No apology, just remade them with an attitude while they snickered and made rude remarks about us. Asked for a refund and walked out. I've been going to Peet's for several years now. I'll admit, when I first tried it I thought it was way too strong, and the mochas (my favorite gourmet choice) tasted like licorice. Weird? We'll, as my palate developed, I started appreciating the Peet's flavor profile, and I've been ordering from them since.
