Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Tigard

A couple of things that warrant this place as average customer service. The sandwiches are good though so this review is all about the service.

First, they do not seem to deliver across county lines. Even though we are talking only a mile away from their store, they won't do it. I'm not sure if there is some law that they can't to multnomah county or if anything over a mile is out of their delivery area. Such a shame as PCC is across county lines and college students that live nearby could probably use delivery.

Second, I drove all the way there once and they ran out of bread. How does a sandwich shop run out of bread, I mean bread is kind of a key ingredient for them. They wouldn't offer up their sliced bread that they did have without charging me more. I promptly walked out of there because I am not willing to pay extra for their lack of inventory.

Third, I asked for some hot peppers on the side and they refused to do it. They won't put anything on the side. Just not a good business practice when many other fast food places try to work with the customer, they don't even offer a solution. It's either on the sandwich or it isn't. Their competition, which is across the street has never refused me for a simple request like this. Their cashier did try to help me buy asking their manager if they could put some peppers in a water cup, but he flat out refused to do it.

Forth, even though I gave them my order with certain items excluded, I saw them screw up both excluded items. In one case, the person realized their mistake and yanked off the ingredient in front of me. In the other excluded ingredient, they didn't realize their mistake until the end. It wasn't something you can just pull off. I asked for them to just start...

I wish I could give this store 0 stars for customer service and lack of professionalism. I had called this store twice to confirm a last minute catering order for a youth sports team. Upon calling them BOTH times I was confirmed they could have sandwiches ready and that it would take 20 minutes. They took my payment over the phone. I had a missed call between placing order and pick up order which was an hour. I walked into the store to see 3 employees standing around not doing anything and the GM Tyler tells me that it was to last minute and they couldn't complete the order. I was shocked and burst into tears I asked them what I was supposed to do last minute for the kids relying on them The manager replies " I don't know maybe pick up your phone". As I listened to the missed call after I left, the voice message said they didn't have enough little John bread and could do 14, I am thinking why couldn't they use bigger bread or cut them in half to fulfill a paid order and not leave a customer hanging. As I walked out of the parking lot he followed me waved sarcastically, smiled and flipped me off. The lack of empathy, the lack of customer service, the lack of improvising he couldn't think to cut sandwiches is half or mix and match AFTER TAKING MY MONEY! What kind of manager says this to a customer without offering a solution to a problem. NEVER WILL I order from them! Thank you Beach hut deli who saved the say in less than 30...

We were in Portland for a vacation from Canada. Anytime we come to the US, we ALWAYS stop at Jimmy Johns because it is the elite sandwich shop.

We went to this specific location in Tigard and I asked if they still had the kicken Cajun. The very nice staff told me it had come off the menu the day before. No big deal, I ordered the Caprese Salami Pesto (absolute 10/10 sandwich omg)

We went and sat to eat in the JJs, and about 10 minutes later, the super nice employee that rang me up came up to us and said “hey! I asked my manager about the kicken Cajun and they said we can still make it as long as all the ingredients are here. I know it doesn’t help now, but maybe I’ll see you guys tomorrow!”

I was so appreciative that she had even gone to ask the question. She cared enough about the fact that I wanted that specific sandwich to go and ask her manager.
