BEWARE OF ADD ON COSTS!!
They have a nice $5 meal deal, but if u want lettuce or tomato on your meal deal burger, it will cost you an additional 50 cents for EACH add on. So, your Meal Deal with lettuce & tomato will cost you SIX dollars, not $5.
Also beware of extra costs for any size upgrades, such as they offer a $9.99 meal deal, but if you want to upgrade to a size medium, it'll cost $1.00 more. Size large, is a dollar & 50 cents more. PLUS personal preference add ons, like add lettuce, add tomato, add cheese, add bacon, etc.
So, before you know it, your $9.99 meal, will cost $12 and up.
So, we've decided not to buy anything they have, that they could charge add on fees for.
Whomever heard of a burger being presented without lettuce?
One can buy a whole head of lettuce, that could serve 10 people for $3 or less. Well, $3. divided by 10, equals 30 cents.
So, I guess the add on cost is 30 cents wholesale cost, and a 20 cent profit mark up, to equal the 50 cents add on cost.
But still, I've never seen this extra costs for VEGETABLE add ons before at any fast food place, except Taco Bell, which is blatantly up front about their add on costs.
On a side note: the price, size and taste of soft serve cones was reasonable, at $1.29 for a 5" tall cone. That blows Dairy Queen out of the water, as they charge around $3.00 for a tiny 3" tall cone.
Also, the fries were good, but too salty.
Hint: for fresh fries, say you want no salt. They'll have to put in a new batch without salt. So, they'll be hot & fresh, but you'll have to wait for them to cook. Then add your own amount of salt, if you want any.
Another plus is, that they don't seem to have those self serve ordering kiosks.
A con, is the perpetually changing menu board, that works similar to a slide show, so you can NOT see all available items, all the sizes and costs at the same time. So you have to ask -do you have any small fries? Yes. -How much are they?
Another hint: the cost difference in sizes is pocket change, like $2.98 for a small $3.15 for a medium, and $3.50 for a large.
The large, is the best buy, assuming they actually give you 3 times as much in a large,...
Read moreWe are nearly 25 minutes for our order... Free individuals that had ordered after us received there items before us and all we ordered was a small Fri/dbl. Ch. Burger deal, the sm. Onion ring) 2 whopper jr sandwich deal and a frozen cotton candy beverage. After I say 20 minutes I asked what was going on with our food which honestly was way longer than I should have waited but I0 because I was trying to be polite. Well our meal was given to another individ.ual mistakenly. I guess this woman whom I spoke to was supposably the "manager" Let's just say she was not in any way professional at all and very rude and inconsiderate. Says I already called out your number you're standing right here when I said it and you watched me give the lady the order. Which if I was standing right in front of her for one I would have heard her say the number which she never did and for two I obviously would have taken my meal and instead of letting her give it to someone else who then obviously ended up with the wrong. She never called out any order numbers she was just reading what was on some of the slip and I wasn't standing in front of her either I was listening for my specific order number which was 51 to be called and it never was. She was was trying to act as if it were my fault that I never received my order. She gave no apology, didn't offer to provide a refund or compensate me or anything like that I wasn't trying to be rude. But finally she had the workers remake of food which took an additional 10 or so more minutes. I could hear her complaining and running her mouth to her co-workers about the issue. Very unpleasant and unprofessional experience. And it was extremely unprofessional of this supposed...
Read moreStopped in for a bite during the noon hour & expected to wait. Was 2nd in line, then moved to 1st when the lady who was in that spot left ("I've been waiting for over ten minutes.") and waited approx 10 min. While waiting, the female who presented as being in charge had a brief exchange with an employee assembling the burgers & called that person a "moron". I was waited on shortly after, paid, asked for/got beverage cups to fill while waiting & moved to the soda machine. Alerted the female that there appeared to be no ice. Her reply: "There's ice in it. It's just that the cubes are bigger than Texas and don't drop easily." I returned to the soda machine and made several more attempts. Shortly after, the female approached and checked the ice level. She then turned, looked at a male employee standing just inside the open door, and asked him to "stop standing there and check on the soda machine like you should have done". Shortly after, another female employee approached and offered to fill the cups with ice "from our drive thru station". When told that one of the products was 'out', she offered/filled it/brought it back. I thanked her and waited for the rest of my order for a few more minutes. As an aside, when I attempted to complete the online survey, I noticed that the receipt printed with a blank strip from top-to-bottom on the left front. Missing survey code numbers = can't complete online...
