I don't do this often but I wish to be honest. I'm a cook, I love food, I love dining out. It's something my girlfriend and I enjoy doing together every so often. So upon our visit on a cold and slow day, service would be expected to be moderately sufficient. Well that was where I was wrong. I will say the seating area was nothing spectacular as we were greeted by a few flies at the table right next to the kitchen door... yikes.. waitress is friendly, yet a little awkward. Made a strange comment about our age. Not entirely her fault as nerves may have been affecting her. Brought us our drinks, mine which contained no flavor and was about 6 shades lighter than it should have been. Again not a server problem in particular but she should have noticed. Wait time on apps was about 20 minutes and arrived with the meal. Again not great, especially on a slow day. To add insult to their injury, our apps and my meal were cold. Portioned poorly and presented like a child made them and sliced them with a butter knife. My burger ordered medium rare was sent out medium well, cold, with a soggy bun, lack luster toppings ( caramelized onions and raw onions together seen counterintuitive, but that's my opinion I suppose) and my side which consisted of 5, yes 5, small burnt onion rings which were so over done I cut the roof of my mouth on one. Although that's on me for being foolish enough to eat one in the first place. And a "bacon, lettuce, avacado sandwiched" because I'm unsure of the technical name, contained one piece of bacon laid across the sandwhich along with the brown avavado. Served with soggy cold fries..
I don't mean to put anyone down as I work in the food industry myself. But there is no excuse for sending out incompetent and inadequate food. Ever. Epecially on a slow day.
As I like to say, if you wouldn't eat it, you shouldnt serve it. And I believe that's what needed to be said to the kitchen that day.
Beyond disappointed, wasted $50+ and will not...
Read moreMy husband and I have always had the best food and hospitality here. It’s our go to restaurant when we want a break after a long day. Our last visit was horrible and I don’t believe we will go back. The bartender ( we typically eat at the bar) was very unfriendly and seemed to be annoyed to be working. My husband ordered the Sirloin with shrimp.. she said “we don’t have that” .. ok it’s on the menu. “Oh yeah I guess it is “ I ordered the Honey crisp chicken salad and added mozzarella sticks to it. It’s what I always get there. The Mozzarella came out first and I asked someone passing by to take them back they were supposed to be on the salad. When the salad came out it was gross. The chicken was cold the Mozzarella sticks were cold and there was no bacon also had to hunt down a spec of the thin spaghetti .. I have ordered the same thing for more than 4 years … My husband was about done with his dinner when the bartender finally came back. I explained I didn’t eat mine because it was not right. She just boxed it up. Then the manager came by and said he took the mozzarella sticks off of our bill. Ok well I went to have dinner with my husband . Not go home with boxed up food I am not going to eat. Our bill was still $80 even with our $10 rewards from being great customers there. The whole experience was bad. I wish I had just cooked...
Read moreStopped in for lunch this afternoon with my family. The food was served hot and within a reasonable amount of time. I experienced multiple issues with our server however, which prompts the 2 star rating. She was quite rude, didn’t offer refills on our drinks so I had to ask a few times, left our empty cups/plates on the table for the majority of our time dining- that part is frustrating as there’s only so much room on the table and there were 5 of us there. We ordered two meals for the kids- one being the kids spaghetti and “giant” meatball. While ordering, I specifically asked for no sauce and the meatball on the side. I pointed to it as I was ordering. She rang it in as an adult meal instead. The price difference being $4.79 for the kids meal and $14.99 for the adult meal. The portion was huge so I asked if it was the kids size. She replied “ No, that wasn’t specified when you ordered.” I’m 100% positive that I was clear about my order but I bit my tongue for the sake of my kids presence. She returned to the table with an attitude and said her manager approved taking “a few bucks off the bill” which honestly only made this more frustrating.
At the end of the day, she comped $9.00 instead of the $10.29 difference. I don’t want the $1.29 back. I won’t be dining here again, based on service and...
