I don’t typically leave reviews, as I don’t enjoy being downright critical, but this is something I really have to get off my chest. I’ve been a frequent customer for about two months now and I usually prefer carryout. Although I enjoy the atmosphere and the people who work there, almost never has my order been correct. Typically I don’t mind as people make errors, and it’s usually something as simple as a missing side of sour cream, etc, etc and I don’t mind. But today I’ve had enough and I will not be returning. I ordered their birria tacos with a side of queso and the au jus of sorts, the juices that come out of the birria meat so to speak. I picked up my order and double checked; the birria tacos were intact, but the queso was mixed with beef. Alright, no biggie. I sent my fiance in, saying I wanted the birria au jus and queso - separate. He came back and I got my queso, but beef as another side, no au jus. I went back in myself once again to tell them I just wanted the juice that came from the birria, the rest of my order was fine. I was handed a cup and told it was the birria juice. It’s my fault that I peered in and saw the similar tint, so I went ahead home. But when I tasted the juice, I was appalled to find that it was beef juices. I’m not so angry about the food but I’d like to pay for the correct order and not something wrong, especially when it was messed up not once, not twice, but three times. It was a waste of my time and I understand human error but not to...
Read moreWe used to eat here all the time love the food and the service. The last time we ate there was so far beyond disgusting, and it was truly intentional. I ordered the fajitas as I usually do and this time my wife and I got our food to carry out. I went and picked up our order and brought it home. Upon dining on our food together, I noticed a hair in the fajitas. Working in many kitchens when I was younger, I know that things happen, and occasionally a hair will fall into food. This was not like that at all. As I pulled on the hair to remove it, I noticed it was part of a larger knot of hair and before you know it I had clump the size of a quarter. Upon further inspection I found two more clumps about the same size. It was as if someone took a well used hair brush and pulled all of the tangled clumps out of it and put it in my food. Not just once but three times. I can not see how this could happen any other way but deliberately. As I said before my wife and I would get carryout from this place often and they were always very kind and we always tipped well. I don't know why someone would do this to someone else's food but not only is it disgusting, it is a crime. Considering it was deliberate I didn't bother notifying the manager, or making a big fuss, but I have let everybody I know in town about this occasion. I can't tell you how glad I am a new place opened up across the parking lot I hope it puts them out...
Read moreLong story short, the people that work here are phenomenal. The food is great as expected, but the service is awesome!
I got a plate of nachos and a tall Dos Equis lager just like this. The food was great! I wasnt quite finished with my food before going to the bathroom. When I came back, the food was gone (rhankfully someone saved the beer). The fella that was serving me tonight, Carlos, appoligized numerous times as well as a few others working in the kitchen and cleaning tables.
I told Carlos it was perfectly fine and that I was almost finished anyways. As I was finishing my beer, they brought out chips and salsa as well as another plate of what I had ordered (current picture). They stated it was very important to them to make it right even though I was already satisfied with my meal tonight.
This should be recognized when looking for a place to eat here in town! Nothing against the Mexican restaurant in view of Los Portales, but I will only come here to eat Mexican food because of the amazing service I got tonight! Thank you all for working hard, and may God...
