Yes, it is a franchise restaurant, but it is also one of those franchise restaurants in which quality is apparent in every aspect; the food, the service, the cleanliness, the smell and the overall feel good atmosphere. You can even smell the quality if you stop at the door step and inhale the smokey aroma exiting the chimney. At this particular Sonny's (in the ever-enjoyable city of Titusville), I felt the very experience and sentiment I described. If you (with or without friends) are in need of a comfortable and relaxing environment (just the ticket to quell stress or boredom), and at the same time you're in the mood to burn some cash for some delicious and filling barbecue, then I recommend you come to this Sonny's. The staff is both courteous and accommodating to the outcome of your meal. The decorum is that of a clean and appealing sight where one can infer the sentiment: "This is nice". Needless to say, the food meets the pleasant expectations one may have if they take a moment to smell that soothing air of burning wood; I strongly recommend the brisket and the St. Louis ribs. My favorite is the all-you-can-eat deal, where you may have the opportunity to savor the variety of barbecued meats they have to offer, along with crispy fries and garlic bread, among other good sides. I also recommend you try the barbecue sauces they have available at your table (start with smokey and/or sweet). As mentioned, yes, it is a franchise, but seldom are there exceptions of quality, and this Sonny's in particular is worth a visit for those you seek good food and a comforting...
Read moreFirst off let me start by saying, I love Sonny’s smoked wings, and I order them quite often. The problem is every time I visit the Titusville, FL location the ladies who are at the register handling curbside and take out orders, all seem so drained, irritated, and angry (twice within the last week) I’m never met with a smile, not even a Hello!… It’s always a dry “You have a pick up orders? Your name?” And then they begin to drag themselves along to go check in the back. Now I’ve tried to avoid these situations of going inside to pick up my order and I tried going through the drive thru to prevent being pissed off from their attitudes, and lawd why did I do that?! The lady yelled at me through the speaker box for coming thru the drive thru to pick up my order and told me to just drive back to the front and sit and wait for someone to come out, though my check in text was not working, she didn’t care, she just wanted me out her drive thru line. Also, This particular day it was raining so I was thinking I’ll keep everyone dry by going through the drive thru and ended up being talked to like I was a toddler. Now again, I love me some Sonny’s BBQ, but customer service is not up to par. I don’t know who did it l, but I do know that I did not apply for them to go there to work a job they clearly don’t enjoy doing or want, and I’m not sure who or if anyone forced them too, but what I can say is they keep making me rethink my decisions every time I go and spend my hard earned money...
Read moreMy most recent visit has caused me to change my previous 5 star review to just 1 star. I've never walked out of a Sonnys before my food came, but I did today. It was over something that could have easily been addressed. We waited a few minutes to be seated, which was unusual. There were several employees standing around chatting without giving my family any acknowledgment. We were seated at a table that was very sticky. The menus were sticking to the table. My husband asked the server to wipe the table. He also pointed to a spot with visible sauce on it. She said "oh that little spot," and wiped it with her finger and continued with, "I don't have a towel. What do you want to drink?" She brought the drinks, didn't wipe the table. After the server left, my husband asked another server if he could speak to a manager. A manager comes to the table, and as we are trying to explain what our issue is with the table, the server comes to the table and starts arguing with us in front of the manager and other customers. That is the real issue here. The table could have been wiped, but instead of just doing that to begin with, the server made it an uncomfortable situation. It was inappropriate and rude. We left the restaurant because we were out as a family trying to have a good time, not deal with a rude and argumentative server. That would have been a complete waste of money. We love Sonnys but won't be back for...
