Frisch's Big Boy — Restaurant in Toledo

We were in Toledo meeting friends from Cleveland to celebrate a child's birthday. Our original plans were to go to Golden Corral, who were closed due to supply chain issues. What does that have to do with Frisch's Big Boy? Well, it was close and open so we went there, not really knowing what to expect, but being fans of the Big Boy name. Until COVID-19, we had our very own Big Boy in Fort Wayne, Indiana where we're from.

Upon arrival, exiting customers and then the staff informed us that the heating was out and asked if we wanted to stay. We were all pretty hungry, it was relatively late considering an hour and a half trip back home, so we stayed. Though it was super cold in the restaurant, the staff maintained a wonderful disposition, provided excellent service, and established a delightful rapport with our group of EIGHT!

On top of that, the meal was great. I had a Super Big Boy Deluxe and it tasted as good as it filled me up. Others had buffalo chicken wraps, popcorn shrimp, breakfast platters, and more. We also had some appetizers (mozz sticks, fried mushrooms, and chili cheese fries) which came out fast and were hot and delicious. If I find myself back in this area of Toledo again, you're definitely on our list and maybe we'll see what it's like heated up!

I never leave reviews and normally have a good experience here but this is crazy… I went there for dinner, ordered in the drive through and everything was right. Slightly cold but right. Besides one meal they said they didn’t have the specific chicken for the country fried chicken so they just chose what chicken they wanted to give me I guess but told me it would still be fried chicken. When I got home and opened my food they gave me semi raw grilled chicken swimming in liquid, so I called spoke to a manager and was told they would make it right. I drove back up there waited in the drive through for 15-20 minutes and received someones DoorDash order instead soaked in grease dripping out of the bag… I called again around 9pm explained they gave me the wrong order and they said they would just give me a whole new meal took down my name so when I went back up there they would remake the meal. I went back up there around 9:45 and received a cold meal with gravy that was slime literally it was stretchy… very terrible experience… Im never the one to complain and normally just eat what I get but for almost 12 dollars and 3 trips there and back it’s ridiculous.. highly...

This place has gone way downhill since I was a child. I used to come here all the time with my grandma and my mom and one of the reasons why I wanted to come in the night that I came in was because of the memories. And I just am surprised that this place has outlasted ponderosa in friendly's that used to be in around the same area. Honestly I'm very shocked that this place is lasted so long because this place is dead and the food is definitely not good and it is a dirty place to be and it's not their fault it's because the age of the building it has been there forever that I know of ever since before I was born but it was kind of chaotic because there's only two people working and I was very shocked to see so many people there on a Friday night that is when I went this past Friday. And the one waitress just kept looking at us while the other one was doing all the work honestly is all the other one take maybe four tables and the other young lady took maybe 15 like I said I was very shocked to see that many people there.
