Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Toledo

I have never taken the time to rate a restaurant on Google, let alone a pizza shop, however I have to share how great and consistent their product has been for me.

I have eaten from the Marcos on Dorr St, the Marcos on Central, as well as various other ones..their pizzas are usually OK, sometimes great, but NEVER consistent.

Call me crazy, but I feel like they use better or fresher ingredients at this location. Now here comes the picky part of my review, I don't enjoy a pizza with heavy sauce, it makes it sloppy for me..everytime I ask for light sauce, I get it. Other locations seem to just push the sauce all the way to the edge or it just seems they didn't care about my request at all.

Anyways, this has been my most pleasurable experience for any pizza shop..I saw the owner responds to these reviews, so I wanted him to know that his store is doing things RIGHT. It has made me a lifetime customer at this location, if I move elsewhere in Toledo, I will make the drive to get my pizza...

WHOLLY CANOLI! This place is LEGIT! Their pizza is piping hot right out of the oven and as good as any you'll find! Plan to eat it in your car! 😆

Sadly 😔 the Markos in Lima, Ohio closed SO we had to make the trip all the way up to Toledo. Man, was it worth it!!!! And thankfully I married a genius!!! Because my wife suggested we try one of their oven baked subs too. SOOOOOO glad we did. We got the Italian oven baked sub. MUAH!!! 🤌 I would literally make the trip FOR JUST THE SUB!!! And I'm so glad we live in a free country that we can order it ALL!!! And order we did, baby 🍼. We ordered a medium pie with onions, mushrooms, and pepperoni. 🤤 We also got their cheese bread! Been ordering from this location since my late teen years, never had an issue. I always tip no matter what. However ordered this afternoon for my children and I, got almost done with a slice and there was a brownish blonde hair baked into the cheese and coming out between the pepperoni and banana pepper. I was so grossed out. Called the store but the guy I spoke with seemed on the defensive immediately telling me there’s no one here with long hair. I said it was a big piece of hair to describe it because it was pretty sizable in comparison to say an eyelash. Anyway he did offer to make me another one but my appetite was naturally gone at this point. I was given an apology, but thinking about it now I should have requested a refund because I’m scared to eat any more of my order. I’ll be throwing it all out. Just wasted $40.
